The Vacmaster SCA0801 is a powerful and portable carpet and spot cleaner designed for effective removal of tough stains from carpets, rugs, upholstery, stairs, and car interiors. It features an 800W motor and dual-tank technology for efficient cleaning.

Setup

  1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the packing list are present.
  2. Fill the Clean Water Tank:

    Remove the clean water tank from the unit. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with warm tap water (max 40°C/104°F) up to the 'Max Fill' line. Add the recommended amount of Vacmaster cleaning solution as per the solution's instructions. Securely replace the cap and reinsert the tank into the unit.

  3. Attach the Cleaning Tool:

    Select the appropriate cleaning tool for your task (e.g., wide tool for larger areas, narrow tool for crevices). Align the tool with the end of the hose and push firmly until it clicks into place. Ensure it is securely attached to prevent leaks during operation.

  4. Connect to Power: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet.

Operating Instructions

  1. Prepare the Area: Before cleaning, vacuum the area thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris. For tough stains, pre-treat with a suitable spot cleaner if necessary.
  2. Power On: Press the power button located on the unit to turn on the cleaner.
  3. Spray, Brush, and Vacuum:

    Position the cleaning tool over the stained area. Press the spray trigger on the handle to dispense cleaning solution onto the surface. Gently scrub the area with the brush on the tool to agitate the stain. Release the spray trigger and slowly pull the tool across the wet area to vacuum up the dirty solution. Repeat as needed until the stain is removed and the water being extracted appears clean.

  4. Cleaning Different Surfaces:
    • Carpets and Rugs: Work in small sections, overlapping each pass slightly. Ensure the area is not oversaturated.
    • Upholstery: Test on an inconspicuous area first for colorfastness. Do not oversaturate. Use gentle strokes.

  5. Dual-Tank Technology: The unit features separate tanks for clean water/solution and dirty water. This ensures that you are always cleaning with fresh solution and dirty water is kept isolated.
  6. Monitor Water Levels: Keep an eye on the clean water tank to ensure it does not run empty. The dirty water tank should be emptied when it reaches the 'Max Fill' line or after each cleaning session.

Maintenance

  1. Empty and Clean the Dirty Water Tank:

    After each use, or when the dirty water tank is full, remove it from the unit. Open the tank and carefully pour out the dirty water. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water. Allow it to air dry before reassembling.

  2. Clean the Cleaning Tools: Detach the cleaning tool from the hose. Rinse it under running water to remove any debris or residue. Ensure the spray nozzle is clear.
  3. Clean the Hose: If necessary, flush the hose with clean water by running the cleaner with only clean water in the tank.
  4. Wipe Down the Unit: Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the exterior of the main unit.
  5. Storage: Store the Vacmaster SCA0801 in a dry, cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure all tanks are empty and dry before storage.
