1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your maXpeedingrods 3500W Portable Inverter Generator MXR4500i Pro. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the generator to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage.
2. Safety Instructions
WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions could result in serious injury or death.
- Carbon Monoxide Hazard: Generators produce carbon monoxide, an odorless, colorless, poisonous gas. Operate the generator outdoors in a well-ventilated area, far from windows, doors, and vents. Never operate indoors or in partially enclosed spaces.
- Fire Hazard: Gasoline is highly flammable. Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off and cool. Do not smoke or allow open flames near the generator. Store fuel in an approved container in a safe location.
- Electrical Shock Hazard: Do not operate the generator in wet conditions. Ensure all electrical connections are dry and secure. Never touch live electrical parts.
- Hot Surfaces: The generator's engine and muffler become very hot during operation and remain hot for some time after shutdown. Avoid contact to prevent burns.
- Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from the generator at all times.
- Read the Manual: Always read and understand the entire instruction manual before operating the generator.

Image 3.2.1: The generator measures approximately 43.51 cm (length) x 37.49 cm (width) x 45.49 cm (height) and weighs 26 kg.
4. Setup
4.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the generator and all accessories from the packaging. Inspect for any damage during shipping. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
4.2 Adding Engine Oil
IMPORTANT: The generator is shipped without engine oil. Operating without oil will cause severe engine damage and void the warranty.
- Place the generator on a level surface.
- Locate the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Using the provided oil funnel, slowly add 0.6 liters of recommended 4-stroke engine oil (e.g., 10W-30) until it reaches the upper mark on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Securely replace the oil fill cap/dipstick.
4.3 Adding Fuel
WARNING: Use fresh, unleaded gasoline only. Do not use E85 or mixed fuels. Refuel in a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources.
- Ensure the generator engine is off and cool.
- Unscrew the fuel cap.
- Slowly add unleaded gasoline to the fuel tank, being careful not to overfill. Leave a small air gap at the top.
- Securely replace the fuel cap. Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.
4.4 Grounding the Generator
For safety, the generator must be properly grounded. Connect a grounding wire (not included) from the generator's grounding terminal to an appropriate ground source, such as a ground rod.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Starting the Generator
Follow these steps for a quick start:
- Ensure the generator is on a level surface and all safety precautions are observed.
- Turn the fuel valve to the 'ON' position.
- Move the choke lever to the 'CHOKE' position (if the engine is cold).
- Turn the engine switch to the 'ON' position.
- Pull the recoil starter handle firmly and smoothly until the engine starts.
- Once the engine starts, slowly move the choke lever to the 'RUN' position.
5.2 Connecting Electrical Devices
CAUTION: Do not connect devices exceeding the generator's running wattage (3200W) or peak wattage (3500W).
- Ensure the generator is running stably.
- Plug your electrical devices into the appropriate AC (230V) or DC (12V) outlets on the control panel.
- Monitor the generator's load using the digital display.

Image 5.2.1: The inverter technology provides clean power suitable for sensitive electronics such as phones, tablets, televisions, computers, and other delicate devices.

Image 5.2.2: Inverter technology ensures a pure sine wave output, which is crucial for safely powering sensitive electronic equipment.
5.3 Monitoring Display
The multi-function display (V.F.R.T. meter) provides important operational information:
- Voltage and Frequency: Shows the current electrical output.
- Remaining Fuel: Indicates the fuel level, prompting timely refueling.
- Cumulative Runtime: Tracks total operating hours for maintenance scheduling.
- Single Runtime: Measures the duration of the current operation.
5.4 Stopping the Generator
- Disconnect all electrical devices from the generator.
- Allow the generator to run for a few minutes without load to cool down.
- Turn the engine switch to the 'OFF' position.
- Turn the fuel valve to the 'OFF' position.
6. Maintenance
WARNING: Always turn off the generator and allow it to cool before performing any maintenance.
6.1 Regular Checks
- Before each use, check the engine oil level and fuel level.
- Inspect for any loose fasteners, fuel leaks, or damaged components.
6.2 Oil Change
Change the engine oil after the first 20 hours of operation, then every 50-100 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
- Run the engine for a few minutes to warm the oil, then shut it off.
- Place a drain pan under the oil drain plug.
- Remove the oil drain plug and oil fill cap/dipstick to allow the oil to drain completely.
- Replace the oil drain plug and tighten it securely.
- Refill with the recommended amount and type of new engine oil (0.6 liters, 10W-30).
- Replace the oil fill cap/dipstick.
6.3 Spark Plug Inspection
Inspect the spark plug every 100 hours or annually. Clean or replace if necessary.
6.4 Air Filter Cleaning
Clean the air filter element every 50 hours or more frequently in dusty conditions. Wash in warm, soapy water, rinse, and allow to dry completely before reinstallation.
6.5 Storage
For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank and carburetor, or add a fuel stabilizer. Change the engine oil. Clean the generator thoroughly and store it in a dry, well-ventilated area.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Generator does not start | No fuel Low engine oil Engine switch OFF Choke not set correctly Spark plug issue | Add fuel Add engine oil Turn engine switch ON Adjust choke Inspect/clean/replace spark plug |
| No power output | AC/DC breaker tripped Overload Faulty connection | Reset breaker Reduce load, then reset breaker Check connections |
