1. Introduction

Please read this manual carefully to understand the full capabilities of your watch and ensure proper use and maintenance.

  • LIGHT Button (Top Left): Activates the LED backlight.
  • MODE Button (Bottom Left): Cycles through different modes (Time, Stopwatch, Alarm, Dual Time).
  • START Button (Top Right): Used to start/stop stopwatch, adjust settings, or view specific data.
  • RESET Button (Bottom Right): Used to reset stopwatch, confirm settings, or switch display formats.
  • Crown (Right Side): Used to set the analog time.

  • Analog Display: Shows current time with hour and minute hands.

4. Initial Setup

4.1 Setting Analog Time

  1. Pull out the crown on the right side of the watch.
  2. Rotate the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the desired time.
  3. Push the crown back in to start the analog movement.

4.2 Setting Digital Time and Date

  1. From the normal time display, press the MODE button repeatedly until the digital time display starts flashing (indicating setting mode).
  2. Press the RESET button to cycle through the settings: seconds, hour, minute, month, date, day of the week, 12/24 hour format.
  3. Use the START button to increase the flashing value. Hold START to rapidly advance the value.
  4. Once all settings are correct, press the MODE button to exit the setting mode.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Mode Selection

Press the MODE button to cycle through the following functions:

  • Normal Time Display (Hour, Minute, Second, Day, Date, Week)
  • Stopwatch Mode
  • Alarm Setting Mode
  • Dual Time Zone Mode

5.2 Using the Stopwatch

  1. Press the MODE button until "ST" or "CHRONO" appears on the digital display.
  2. Press the START button to begin timing.
  3. Press the START button again to pause timing.
  4. Press the RESET button to clear the stopwatch to zero.
  5. To resume timing after pausing, press START.

5.3 Setting the Alarm

  1. Press the MODE button until "AL" appears on the digital display.
  2. Press the RESET button to select the hour or minute setting. The selected value will flash.
  3. Use the START button to adjust the flashing hour or minute.
  4. Press the MODE button to exit the alarm setting mode.
  5. To turn the alarm on/off, press the START button while in alarm mode. An alarm icon will appear/disappear.

5.4 Dual Time Zone

  1. Press the MODE button until "DUAL" or "DT" appears on the digital display.
  2. Press the RESET button to select the hour or minute setting for the second time zone. The selected value will flash.
  3. Use the START button to adjust the flashing hour or minute.
  4. Press the MODE button to exit the dual time setting mode.

5.5 Using the LED Backlight

Press the LIGHT button (top left) to illuminate the digital display for a few seconds in low-light conditions.

6. Water Resistance

Your SMAEL Model 8072 watch is rated for 50 meters (5 ATM) water resistance. This means it is suitable for:

  • Daily use
  • Washing hands
  • Exposure to rain
  • Cold water showers
  • Swimming in shallow water

Important Precautions:

  • DO NOT press any buttons while the watch is submerged in water.

7. Maintenance and Care

  • Clean the watch regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly.
