3. Setup & Assembly
This chassis kit requires assembly and integration with existing TRX4 components. Careful attention to detail during assembly will ensure proper function.
3.1 Chassis Frame Assembly
- Begin by identifying the left and right carbon fiber frame girders.
- Attach the crossmembers and braces to connect the two frame girders. Ensure all screws are tightened securely but do not overtighten to avoid damaging the carbon fiber.
- Install the transmission mount plate onto the chassis. This plate is designed to accommodate the stock TRX4 transmission.
- Mount the battery tray to the designated location on the chassis.

3.2 Link Installation (Wheelbase Selection)
The kit includes link sets for two wheelbase options: 313mm and 324mm. Select the appropriate set for your desired configuration.
- Assemble the chosen link rods with the provided rod ends. Ensure the rod ends are threaded correctly and allow for smooth articulation.
- Attach the assembled links to your TRX4 axles and the chassis frame. Refer to your original TRX4 manual for proper link orientation and mounting points.

3.3 Component Integration
This chassis is compatible with stock TRX4 axles, transmission, drive shafts, and shocks. The design includes multiple shock mounting points for suspension tuning.
- Mount your TRX4 axles, transmission, drive shafts, and shocks to the new chassis.
- Utilize the various shock mounting points on the chassis to fine-tune your suspension setup for different terrains and crawling styles.
- Install your ESC, motor, and servo. Note that a specific servo mount may be required as the stock TRX4 servo mount may not be compatible with this LCG chassis.

4. Operation Guidelines
The INJORA LCG Carbon Fiber Chassis is designed to improve the climbing ability and stability of your 1/10 RC Crawler TRX4 by lowering its center of gravity. After successful assembly, perform initial tests in a controlled environment.
- Initial Checks: Before operating, ensure all screws are tight, links move freely without binding, and electronic components are securely mounted and connected.
- Center of Gravity: The 5-degree chassis design inherently lowers the center of gravity. Experiment with battery placement and additional weight distribution (e.g., brass components on axles) to further optimize performance for specific terrains.
- Suspension Tuning: Utilize the multiple shock mounting points to adjust shock angle and compression. This allows for fine-tuning of suspension travel and damping characteristics.
- Driving Style: The LCG design enhances stability on inclines and side hills. Practice driving to understand the new handling characteristics of your upgraded crawler.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and performance of your RC crawler. Follow these guidelines to keep your INJORA LCG chassis in optimal condition:
- Post-Run Inspection: After each use, inspect the chassis for any loose screws, damaged links, or signs of wear on the carbon fiber.
- Cleaning: Clean the chassis and components regularly to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Use a soft brush or compressed air. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the carbon fiber or other materials.
- Screw Checks: Periodically check and tighten all screws, especially those securing the links, crossmembers, and transmission mount. Use thread-locking compound on critical screws if necessary, but apply sparingly.
- Link and Rod End Inspection: Examine the links and rod ends for any cracks, bends, or excessive play. Replace worn components to maintain precise steering and suspension geometry.
- Carbon Fiber Care: While durable, carbon fiber can be susceptible to impact damage. Avoid severe impacts and inspect the frame girders for any delamination or cracks.
6. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues that may arise during or after the assembly of your INJORA LCG Carbon Fiber Chassis Kit.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Missing or Unorganized Hardware | Packaging may not clearly separate all hardware. | Carefully sort all hardware upon opening the package. Refer to the package contents list (Figure 2) to identify all components. Contact customer support if parts are genuinely missing. |
| Link Binding / Limited Suspension Travel | Incorrect rod ends used; improper link lengths; overtightened screws. |
|
| Pinion Gear Misalignment with Spur Gear | Transmission position not optimized. | Verify the transmission is mounted correctly and fully seated. Adjust motor position on the motor plate if possible to align the pinion and spur gears. |
| No Compatible Servo Mount | Stock TRX4 servo mount is not compatible with the LCG chassis design. | This kit does not include a servo mount. You will need to acquire a compatible LCG-specific servo mount or fabricate one. |
| Side Skirts / Boat Sides Catching Obstacles | Design of the side skirts may interfere with certain terrains. | Consider modifying or removing the side skirts if they consistently hinder performance on your preferred crawling surfaces. |
| Chassis Frame Breakage | Severe impact; material defect. | While carbon fiber is strong, extreme impacts can cause damage. Inspect for cracks. If breakage occurs under normal use, contact INJORA customer support. |
