Setup Guide

1. Unpacking and Initial Preparation

Carefully remove the printer from its packaging. Remove all protective tapes and packing materials from the printer. Place the printer on a flat, stable surface.

2. Filling the Ink Tanks

The EcoTank ET-2400 uses high-capacity ink tanks that are refilled using ink bottles. Each bottle is uniquely keyed to fit only its corresponding color tank, preventing misfilling and ensuring a mess-free process.

  1. Open the ink tank unit cover located on the side of the printer.
  2. Open the cap for the specific color tank you wish to fill.
  3. Uncap the corresponding ink bottle and insert it firmly into the filling port. The ink will automatically start to fill the tank.
  4. Once the tank is full, the ink flow will stop automatically. Remove the bottle and securely close the tank cap.
  5. Repeat this process for all remaining colors.

Maintenance

Ink Level Monitoring and Refill

Regularly monitor ink levels through the transparent ink tanks located on the front of the printer. Refill tanks when ink levels approach the minimum line to avoid print quality issues and ensure continuous operation.

Print Head Cleaning

If print quality declines (e.g., missing lines, streaking, faded colors), perform a print head cleaning. This can usually be initiated from the printer's utility software on your computer or through the Epson Smart Panel app. This process helps clear clogged nozzles and restore print quality.

Troubleshooting

Printer Offline / Connectivity Issues

Ensure the printer is powered on and connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Restart your router and printer. Verify that your computer or smart device is on the same network. For persistent issues, a USB connection may be required for initial setup or firmware updates, as some users have reported Wi-Fi instability.

Poor Print Quality

Check ink levels and refill if necessary. Perform a print head cleaning or nozzle check from the printer utility. Ensure you are using genuine Epson ink to maintain optimal print quality and performance. Using non-genuine ink may cause damage not covered under warranty.

Paper Jams

Carefully remove any jammed paper from the paper tray or inside the printer. Always pull paper slowly and evenly to avoid tearing. Refer to the Quick Start guide for detailed instructions on clearing paper jams from specific areas of the printer.
