3.1. Base Unit Connection

  1. Connect the Telephone Line Cord: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the back of the base unit. Plug the other end into a telephone wall jack.
  2. Connect the Power Adapter: Plug the small end of the base unit's power adapter into the POWER jack on the back of the base unit. Plug the large end into a standard electrical outlet not controlled by a wall switch.
  3. Position the Base Unit: Place the base unit on a flat, stable surface, away from other electrical appliances or large metal objects that could interfere with the signal.

3.2. Handset Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Install Battery: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of each handset. Connect the battery pack connector securely into the jack inside the compartment. Place the battery pack with the label facing up. Close the battery compartment cover.
  2. Charge Handsets: Plug each handset charger's power adapter into a standard electrical outlet. Place each handset face forward into its respective charger. The CHARGE light on the handset will illuminate, indicating proper charging.
  3. Initial Charge: Allow each handset to charge for at least 16 hours before initial use to ensure optimal battery performance.

3.3. Handset Registration (if necessary)

Your handsets are typically pre-registered to the base unit. If a handset displays "To register HS" or "Put HS on base," you may need to manually register it:

  1. Place the unregistered handset on the base unit's charger.
  2. Press and hold the FIND HS button on the base unit for about 4 seconds until the IN USE light on the base unit turns on.
