Setup

1. Assembling the Stand

1. Place the monitor face down on a soft, clean surface to prevent scratches.
2. Attach the stand neck to the monitor panel. Ensure it clicks into place or is secured with screws if provided.
3. Attach the stand base to the stand neck. Secure it with the captive screw at the bottom of the base.

2. Connecting to a Computer

The Philips 242S1AE monitor supports multiple input types: HDMI, DisplayPort (DP), DVI, and VGA.

1. Power Off: Ensure your computer and monitor are turned off and unplugged from the power outlet.
2. Select Cable: Choose one of the following connection types based on your computer's output:

3. Power Connection

1. Connect the power cable to the power input on the monitor.
2. Plug the other end of the power cable into a grounded electrical outlet.

4. Initial Power On

1. Plug in your computer's power cable and turn on the computer.
2. Press the power button on the monitor to turn it on.
3. The monitor should automatically detect the input signal. If not, you may need to manually select the input source using the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press the power button located on the monitor's bezel to turn the monitor on or off.

You can switch between these modes using the dedicated SmartImage button or through the OSD menu.
