4. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your ADSA-D25 dock station:
- Connect Power: Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 3.5mm power input port on the back of the dock station, then plug the adapter into a power outlet.
- Insert Drives: Gently insert your 2.5-inch SATA SSDs or HDDs into the top slots of the dock station. Ensure they are fully seated.
- Connect to Computer (for Data Transfer): If you intend to use the dock for data transfer, connect the USB Micro-B end of the provided USB cable to the dock station and the USB-A end to an available USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) port on your computer.
- Power On: Press the power button on the back of the dock station. The power LED indicator will illuminate.
5. Operating Modes
5.1. Data Transfer Mode
In this mode, the dock station functions as an external drive enclosure, allowing you to access data on the inserted drives from your computer.
- Ensure the dock station is powered on and connected to your computer via the USB cable.
- Insert one or two 2.5-inch SATA SSDs/HDDs into the slots.
- Your operating system should automatically detect the drives. They will appear as removable storage devices.
- You can now access, read, and write data to the drives as you would with any other external storage.

5.2. Offline Clone Function
The offline clone function allows you to duplicate the contents of a source drive to a target drive without a computer connection. The target drive must be equal to or larger in capacity than the source drive.
Important: All data on the target drive will be erased during the cloning process. Back up any important data from the target drive before proceeding.
- Ensure the dock station is powered off and disconnected from the computer.
- Insert the source drive (the drive you want to copy FROM) into the Source (HDD1) slot.
- Insert the target drive (the drive you want to copy TO) into the Target (HDD2) slot.
- Connect the power adapter and power on the dock station.
- Press and hold the Clone button on the back of the dock station for approximately 3-5 seconds until the LED indicators begin to flash.
- Release the Clone button. The cloning process will begin, and the progress will be indicated by the LEDs.
- Once all LEDs are solid, the cloning process is complete.
- Power off the dock station and safely remove the drives.
6. LED Indicators
The ADSA-D25 features LED indicators to show power status, drive activity, and cloning progress.
- Power LED: Illuminates when the device is powered on.
- Drive Activity LEDs: Flash to indicate data access for each respective drive.
- Cloning Progress LEDs: During an offline clone, these LEDs indicate the percentage of completion (e.g., 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%).

7. Maintenance
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your ADSA-D25 dock station:
- Keep the device in a clean, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Avoid dropping or subjecting the device to strong impacts.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the unit. This will void the warranty.
- Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners.
8. Troubleshooting
8.1. Device Not Detected by Computer
- Ensure the dock station is powered on and the USB cable is securely connected to both the dock and the computer.
- Try connecting to a different USB port on your computer.
- Test with a different USB cable if available.
- Verify that the inserted SSD/HDD is properly seated and functional.
8.2. Drives Not Appearing in My Computer/File Explorer
- For new drives, they may need to be initialized, partitioned, and formatted in Disk Management (Windows) or Disk Utility (macOS) before they can be used.
- Ensure the drives are properly inserted and the dock station is powered on.
8.3. Offline Clone Fails or Does Not Start
- Ensure the dock station is disconnected from the computer before starting the clone process.
- Verify that the target drive's capacity is equal to or larger than the source drive's capacity.
- Ensure both drives are properly inserted into their respective slots (Source in HDD1, Target in HDD2).
- Press and hold the Clone button for the required duration (3-5 seconds) until the LEDs flash.
- If the issue persists, try using different drives to rule out drive-specific problems.
