5. Maintenance
5.1 Software Updates
Regular software updates are released to improve functionality, add new vehicle models, and fix bugs. It is recommended to periodically check the ANCEL official website for available updates and install them using the provided USB cable and a computer (refer to Section 3.2).
5.2 Device Care
- Keep the device clean and free from dust and moisture.
- Avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to strong impacts.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
6. Troubleshooting
- Device does not power on: Ensure the OBD-II cable is securely connected to the vehicle's port. Verify the vehicle's battery has sufficient voltage (12V).
- Communication error with vehicle: Check that the ignition is on. Ensure the OBD-II cable is properly connected. Verify the vehicle is compatible with the TD700 (1996-2021 Toyota, Lexus, Scion).
- Specific function not working (e.g., Transmission Fluid Temperature): The TD700 reads fault codes but does not support displaying transmission oil temperature data. Some advanced functions may not be supported on all compatible models. Contact ANCEL support with your vehicle's make, model, and year to confirm specific feature compatibility.
- TPMS Relearn issues: When performing TPMS relearn, ensure you follow the on-screen instructions carefully. After entering new sensor IDs, scroll down the menu to find the 'Enter' or 'OK' option to confirm, rather than using the physical 'OK' button on the device immediately. Driving the vehicle for a short distance (e.g., 30 km) after reset may be required for the system to fully relearn.
- Slow operation: The device may take 3-5 minutes to perform a full system diagnosis. This is normal operation.
