1. Product Overview

The Tiskgg 1.0 Cu Ft Fireproof Safe Box is designed to provide secure storage for your valuables, important documents, firearms, jewelry, and medicines. It features a digital keypad for quick access, an emergency key override, and robust construction for enhanced security. This safe is ideal for home, hotel, dorm, and office use.

2. Safety Information

• Emergency Keys: Always store the emergency keys in a secure location away from the safe. Do not keep them inside the safe.
• Mounting: For maximum security, it is highly recommended to bolt the safe to a wall or floor using the provided hardware.
• Battery Replacement: Replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator appears to ensure continuous operation.
• Children Safety: Keep the safe locked to prevent unauthorized access by children to potentially dangerous contents.

4. Initial Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

The safe requires 4 AA batteries (not included) for the digital keypad to function. The battery compartment is located on the inside of the safe door.

1. Open the safe door using the emergency key (refer to section 4.2).
2. Locate the battery compartment cover on the inside of the door.
3. Remove the cover and insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
4. Replace the battery compartment cover.

4.2 First-Time Opening (Emergency Key)

To open the safe for the first time or if you forget your digital code, use the emergency key.

1. Locate the hidden keyhole cover on the digital keypad.
2. Gently remove the cover to expose the keyhole.
3. Insert one of the emergency keys into the keyhole and turn it counter-clockwise.
4. While holding the key turned, rotate the main knob on the keypad clockwise to open the safe door.

4.3 Setting Your Personal Passcode

After installing batteries and opening the safe, you can set your personal digital passcode.

1. With the safe door open, locate the reset button on the inside of the door (usually a small red or green button).
2. Press the reset button. The keypad will beep, and a yellow light will flash.
3. Enter your desired 3-8 digit passcode on the keypad.
4. Press the "#" or "ENTER" button to confirm. The safe will beep twice, indicating successful programming.
5. Test your new passcode with the door open before closing it.

4.4 Mounting the Safe

The safe can be securely mounted to a wall or floor using the pre-drilled holes and expansion screws.

1. Choose a suitable location for mounting.
2. Mark the positions for drilling through the pre-drilled holes on the back or bottom of the safe.
3. Drill holes in the wall or floor using an appropriate drill bit.
4. Insert the expansion bolts into the drilled holes.
5. Align the safe with the bolts and secure it tightly using the provided screws.

5. Operation

5.1 Opening with Digital Passcode

1. Enter your 3-8 digit personal passcode on the keypad.
2. Press the "#" or "ENTER" button. The green light will illuminate.
3. Within 5 seconds, rotate the main knob clockwise to open the safe door.

5.2 Opening with Emergency Key

This method is used when batteries are dead or the digital code is forgotten.

1. Remove the hidden keyhole cover on the digital keypad.
2. Insert an emergency key and turn it counter-clockwise.
3. While holding the key turned, rotate the main knob clockwise to open the safe door.

5.3 Using the External Battery Box

If the internal batteries are depleted and you cannot open the safe with the digital code, use the external battery box.

1. Insert 4 AA batteries into the external battery box.
2. Plug the external battery box into the emergency power port on the keypad.
3. Enter your digital passcode and press "#" or "ENTER".
4. Rotate the main knob clockwise to open the safe door.

6. Security Features

6.1 Anti-Theft Alarm System

The safe is equipped with an anti-theft alarm system. If an incorrect password is entered 3 times consecutively, the system will lock for 20 seconds and an alarm will sound. Repeated incorrect entries (e.g., 6 times) may result in a longer lockout period (e.g., 5 minutes).

6.2 Silent Mode

The safe can be set to silent mode to disable keypad sounds and alarm beeps, providing discreet operation.

6.3 Robust Construction

The Tiskgg safe box is constructed from reinforced solid steel with a 50mm thick door, 3 high-strength bolts, seamless forming construction, and pry-resistant concealed hinges, offering strong protection against forced entry.

7. Internal Organization

The safe features a removable shelf to customize storage space and a built-in LED light for improved visibility in dark environments. A soft cushion is included at the bottom to protect valuables from scratches.

8. Maintenance

• Battery Check: Regularly check the battery level. Replace all 4 AA batteries when the low battery indicator appears or at least once a year to prevent leakage.
• Cleaning: Clean the safe's exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
• Keyhole Maintenance: Keep the emergency keyhole clean and free from debris.

9. Troubleshooting

• Safe will not open with digital code:
  • Ensure batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Use the external battery box if needed.
  • Verify you are entering the correct passcode.
  • If the keypad is locked due to multiple incorrect entries, wait for the lockout period to expire.
  • Use the emergency key to open the safe.
• Alarm sounds unexpectedly:
  • The alarm activates after 3 incorrect passcode entries or if the safe is subjected to strong impact/movement.
  • To stop the alarm, enter the correct passcode or use the emergency key to open the safe and remove the batteries.
• Forgotten Passcode:
  • Use the emergency key to open the safe.
  • Once open, you can reset the passcode by pressing the reset button on the inside of the door and following the passcode setting instructions.
