- To power on, rotate the Power Switch/Volume Knob clockwise until you hear a click.
- Continue rotating clockwise to increase volume; rotate counter-clockwise to decrease volume.
- To power off, rotate the knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click.

The RT-470 supports both VFO (Variable Frequency Oscillator) mode for direct frequency input and Channel mode for pre-programmed channels.

6.3. One-Key Frequency Match
This feature allows for quick pairing and grouping by copying a channel from another radio within close proximity (approximately 1 meter).
