Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the headset surfaces with a soft, dry cloth. For ear cushions, gently wipe with a damp cloth and allow to air dry completely before use. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
Storage
Store the headset in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. When not in use for extended periods, ensure the headset is fully charged to preserve battery health.
Battery Care
To maximize battery lifespan, avoid fully discharging the headset frequently. Charge the headset regularly, even if not in constant use.
Troubleshooting
- No Audio / Disconnecting Wireless:
Ensure the USB-C wireless dongle is securely connected to your device and the headset is powered on and paired. Try moving the dongle to a different USB port or closer to the headset to minimize interference. If experiencing frequent disconnections, ensure no other 2.4GHz devices are causing interference nearby.
- Microphone Not Working:
Check if the microphone mute button is engaged. Ensure the microphone is fully extended. Verify microphone input settings on your PC or console.
- Poor Sound Quality:
Ensure the headset is fully charged. Check audio settings on your device. For PC users, consider installing the SteelSeries GG software for advanced EQ options and firmware updates.
- Headset Not Comfortable / Loose Fit:
Adjust the steel headband for optimal fit. The headset is designed for a comfortable, lighter fit, which may feel less "clamped" than some other models. Ensure earcups are properly positioned over your ears.
