5. Setup

5.1. Charging Station Placement

Place the auto-empty charging station on a hard, level surface against a wall. Ensure there is at least 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) of clear space on both sides and 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) in front of the station for the robot to easily dock. Connect the power adapter to the station and plug it into a wall outlet.

5.2. Initial Charging

Place the robot vacuum onto the charging station. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the station. The robot will automatically begin charging. A full charge takes approximately 4-6 hours. It is recommended to fully charge the robot before its first use.

5.3. App Installation and Connection (TUYA Smart)

  1. Download the "TUYA Smart" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  2. Register or log in to your TUYA Smart account.
  3. Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
  4. Open the app, tap "+" to add a device, and select "Robot Vacuum" or search for "Fagor FGL4755".
  5. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot vacuum to the Wi-Fi network. This typically involves pressing and holding specific buttons on the robot to enter pairing mode.
  6. Once connected, you can control the robot, view maps, set schedules, and customize cleaning preferences via the app.

5.4. Initial Mapping

For the best cleaning experience, allow the robot to complete a full mapping run of your home. Clear any obstacles, loose cables, or small items from the floor. The robot will use its laser navigation to create a precise map, which can then be segmented by room in the app for customized cleaning.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Cleaning Modes

The Fagor FGL4755 offers multiple cleaning modes to suit your needs:

  • Automatic Cleaning: The robot intelligently navigates and cleans the entire mapped area.
  • Spot Cleaning: Directs the robot to intensively clean a specific small area.
  • Edge Cleaning: The robot cleans along walls and furniture edges.
  • Zigzag Cleaning: The robot cleans in a systematic zigzag pattern.

You can select these modes via the TUYA Smart app or the remote control.

6.2. Vacuuming and Mopping (3-in-1 Function)

The robot can vacuum, sweep, and mop simultaneously.

  • For Vacuuming: Ensure the dustbin is properly installed.
  • For Mopping: Fill the 300 ml water tank with clean water and attach the mop cloth. Insert the water tank into the robot. You can adjust the water flow level (3 levels) via the app to suit different floor types and cleaning needs.

6.3. Scheduling

Use the TUYA Smart app to set daily cleaning schedules. You can specify cleaning times and modes for different rooms or the entire house.

6.4. Voice Control (Alexa & Google Home)

The Fagor FGL4755 supports voice control via Amazon Alexa and Google Home.

  1. Ensure your robot vacuum is connected to the TUYA Smart app.
  2. Open the Alexa or Google Home app.
  3. Enable the "TUYA Smart" skill/service and link your TUYA Smart account.
  4. Discover devices. You can now use voice commands such as:
    • "Alexa, start cleaning with [Robot Name]."
    • "Hey Google, tell [Robot Name] to go home."

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your robot vacuum.

7.1. Emptying the Robot Dustbin

Although the auto-empty station handles most dust, it's good practice to periodically check and manually empty the robot's 230 ml dustbin, especially if you are not using the auto-empty station frequently or if the robot is cleaning very dusty areas. The dustbin is washable.

7.2. Cleaning the Water Tank and Mop Cloth

After each mopping session, remove the water tank, empty any remaining water, and allow it to air dry. Remove the mop cloth, rinse it thoroughly with clean water, and let it air dry before reattaching.

7.3. Cleaning Brushes

  • Main Brush: Remove the main brush cover and lift out the brush. Use the provided cleaning tool or scissors to cut and remove any tangled hair or debris. Reinstall the brush.
  • Side Brushes: Check the side brushes for tangled hair or debris. If damaged, replace them.

7.4. Cleaning Sensors

Wipe the cliff sensors (located on the bottom of the robot) and anti-collision sensors (on the bumper) with a clean, dry cloth to ensure they function correctly.

7.5. Auto-Empty Station Maintenance

The auto-empty station's dust bag only needs to be emptied approximately once a month, depending on usage and household dust levels. Refer to the station's indicator or the app for prompts to replace the dust bag.
