1. Important Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance and retain for future reference. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Always unplug the dehumidifier from the power outlet before cleaning, performing any maintenance, or when not in use.
  • Do not operate the dehumidifier with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord or plug is damaged, contact customer support for assistance.
  • Ensure the power outlet voltage matches the specifications of the dehumidifier.
  • Do not immerse the dehumidifier, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Keep the appliance away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and flammable materials.
  • This dehumidifier is designed for indoor use only. Do not use outdoors.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • The unit features an automatic shut-off function when the water tank is full, preventing overflow.

2. Product Overview

The AYAFATO 35OZ Mini Dehumidifier is designed to efficiently reduce humidity in small enclosed spaces, improving air quality and preventing issues like mold and musty odors. It features quiet operation, colorful night lights, and an automatic shut-off for convenience and safety.

3. Setup

  1. Unpack the Dehumidifier: Carefully remove the dehumidifier and all its components from the packaging. Remove any protective films or packaging materials.
  2. Choose a Location: Place the dehumidifier on a flat, stable surface in the desired small space. Ensure there is adequate airflow around the unit (at least 4 inches / 10 cm clearance from walls or furniture). This unit is suitable for areas up to 285 sq. ft., such as bedrooms, bathrooms, closets, RVs, and offices.
  3. Connect Power: Insert the power cord into the power port on the back of the dehumidifier, then plug the other end into a suitable electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

Power On/Off:

  • Press the Power Button (Power icon) once to turn the unit ON. The default mode is Day Mode.
  • Press the Power Button again to turn the unit OFF.

Work Modes:

The dehumidifier offers two operating modes:

  • Day Mode: This is the default and most powerful mode, designed for efficient dehumidification during the day. Noise level is approximately 35-40dB.
  • Sleep Mode: Press the Day/Night Mode Button (Day/Night mode icon) to switch to Sleep Mode. In this mode, the unit operates at an ultra-quiet level (less than 26dB), producing a very low white noise suitable for sleeping environments.

Colorful Night Lights:

The dehumidifier features 7-color LED night lights that can enhance the ambiance of your space.

  • Press the Light Options Button (Light bulb icon) once to activate the automatic color cycling mode. The lights will cycle through blue, purple, red, orange, yellow, green, and cyan.
  • Press the Light Options Button repeatedly to select and lock your preferred color.
  • Continue pressing the Light Options Button until the lights turn off, if desired.

Automatic Shut-off Feature:

The dehumidifier is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature for safety and convenience. When the water tank collects approximately 27oz (800ml) of water, the unit will automatically turn off, and a red buoy inside the tank will float and flash to indicate that the tank is full and needs to be emptied.

5. Maintenance

Emptying the Water Tank:

  1. When the water tank is full, the dehumidifier will automatically shut off.
  2. Gently pull out the transparent water tank from the bottom of the unit using the built-in groove.
  3. Carefully pour out the collected water.
  4. Slide the empty water tank back into the dehumidifier until it clicks securely into place. The unit will resume operation if powered on.

Cleaning the Dehumidifier:

  • Ensure the unit is unplugged before cleaning.
  • Wipe the exterior of the dehumidifier with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Clean the water tank regularly with mild soap and water to prevent mold or mildew buildup. Rinse thoroughly and dry before reinserting.
  • Periodically check the air inlet and outlet for dust accumulation and gently clean with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.

Storage:

If storing the dehumidifier for an extended period, ensure the water tank is empty and clean. Store the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Dehumidifier does not turn on. Unit not plugged in; power outlet issue; water tank full or not properly inserted. Ensure power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Empty and reinsert the water tank correctly.
No water collected. Humidity level is too low; room temperature is too low; air inlets/outlets blocked. Ensure humidity is above 40% RH and temperature is above 59°F (15°C). Clear any obstructions from air vents.
Unit is making unusual noise. Unit not on a stable surface; internal component issue. Place the unit on a flat, stable surface. If noise persists, discontinue use and contact customer support.
Lights are not working. Light function is turned off. Press the Light Options Button to cycle through light modes or turn them on.
