6. Key Features Explained
6.1 4K Ultra HD & 1080P Dual Recording
The front camera records in stunning 4K (3840x2160P) resolution, capturing fine details like license plates and road signs. The rear camera records in 1080P (1920x1080P), providing comprehensive coverage of your vehicle's surroundings.

6.2 Super Night Vision
Equipped with Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology, an upgraded high-performance CMOS sensor, and dual large aperture lenses (F1.8), the T5 dash cam delivers enhanced clarity and detail in low-light conditions, ensuring clear recordings even at night.

6.3 Supercapacitor for Durability
The T5 dash cam utilizes a supercapacitor instead of a traditional lithium battery. This provides superior heat resistance, making it ideal for extreme temperatures (from -4°F to 165°F), and significantly extends the product's lifespan and reliability.
6.4 24-Hour Parking Monitoring
With the parking monitor feature, the dash cam can continuously record or initiate emergency recording upon detecting a collision even when the engine is off. Note: For continuous 24-hour parking mode, a hardwire kit (ASIN: B0BG5DM5CL) is required and sold separately.
Figure 6.4: 24-Hour Parking Monitor functionality.
6.5 Built-in G-Sensor
The G-sensor automatically detects sudden shakes or collisions. When triggered, it locks the current video footage, preventing it from being overwritten during loop recording. This ensures critical incident footage is safely stored.
Figure 6.5: G-Sensor and Loop Recording.
6.6 Seamless Loop Recording
The dash cam continuously records video in short segments (e.g., 1, 3, or 5 minutes). When the memory card is full, the oldest unlocked footage is automatically overwritten to make space for new recordings, ensuring uninterrupted recording.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your FocuWay T5 Dash Cam, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Dash cam does not power on. | No power from car charger; loose connection; faulty charger. | Check car charger connection and vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Try another USB-C cable or charger. Ensure vehicle ignition is on. |
| Recording stops or freezes. | MicroSD card error; incompatible or fake card; card full (if loop recording is off); card speed too slow. | Format the MicroSD card in the app or on a computer. Use a high-speed (Class 10, U3, V30 or higher) branded MicroSD card. Ensure loop recording is enabled. |
| Wi-Fi connection issues. | Incorrect Wi-Fi password; too far from dash cam; app not updated. | Ensure correct Wi-Fi password. Move closer to the dash cam. Restart both dash cam and phone. Update the FocuWay app. |
| Poor video quality at night. | Dirty lens; extreme low light conditions; reflections. | Clean the camera lens. Ensure no obstructions or reflections on the windshield. |
| Voice control not responding. | Loud cabin noise; unclear commands; feature disabled. | Speak clearly and directly towards the dash cam. Reduce background noise. Check app settings to ensure voice control is enabled. |

- Clean the Lens: Regularly wipe the camera lenses with a soft, lint-free cloth to ensure clear video quality.

- Firmware Updates: Check the FocuWay official website or app periodically for firmware updates. Keeping your dash cam's firmware updated can improve performance and add new features.
- Temperature: While the supercapacitor allows for wide temperature tolerance, avoid prolonged exposure to extreme direct sunlight when parked, if possible, to prolong overall device life.
