3. Setup
The Zmoon OBD2 Scanner is designed for simple plug-and-play operation. Follow these steps to get started:
- Locate your vehicle's OBDII port. This is typically found under the dashboard on the driver's side.
- Ensure your vehicle's ignition is in the 'ON' position (engine can be off or running, depending on the test).
- Connect the scanner's OBDII cable to the vehicle's OBDII port. The scanner will power on automatically.
- The device will perform a system check and display the main menu.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1. Reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)

- From the main menu, select 'I/M'.
- The screen will display the status of various monitors (e.g., Misfire Monitor, Fuel System Monitor, O2 Sensor Monitor) as 'OK', 'INC' (Incomplete), or 'N/A' (Not Applicable).
- A 'OK' status indicates the monitor has completed its diagnostic cycle.
