6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your machine.

  • Cleaning: Wipe down the frame and upholstery with a damp cloth after each use to remove sweat and dirt. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all bolts, nuts, and moving parts for tightness and wear. Tighten any loose fasteners. Inspect cables and pulleys for signs of fraying or damage.
  • Lubrication: Apply a small amount of silicone-based lubricant to pivot points and cable pathways as needed to maintain smooth operation.
  • Storage: Store the machine in a dry, climate-controlled environment to prevent rust and material degradation.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your machine, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Squeaking or Grinding Noise: Check for loose bolts or components. Lubricate pivot points and cable pathways. Inspect pulleys for debris.
  • Rough Movement: Ensure cables are properly routed through all pulleys. Check for any obstructions. Lubricate moving parts.
  • Weight Feels Lighter Than Expected: This can sometimes occur due to machine leverage. Ensure you are loading appropriate weight plates and consider increasing resistance if necessary. Verify the machine is on a level surface.
  • Unstable Machine: Ensure all bolts are fully tightened. If applicable, utilize the bolt-down holes on the rubber feet to anchor the machine to a concrete surface for maximum stability.
