4.2 Print Quality
The wireless Bluetooth thermal printer provides superior print clarity resulting in hassle-free printing- high quality crisp, dark imaging and smooth printing effects, and fast processing. It is suitable for documents, drawings, and files. Note that thermal prints may fade over time if exposed to direct sunlight, heat, or certain chemicals.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Print Head
To maintain optimal print quality, periodically clean the print head. Open the printer by pressing the side buttons to access the rollers and thermal print head. Use a soft, lint-free cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe the print head. Allow it to dry completely before closing the printer.
5.2 Paper Storage
Store thermal paper in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat to preserve its print viability. Avoid exposing printed documents to direct sunlight for extended periods to prevent fading.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Printer Not Printing
- Incorrect Paper Type: Ensure you are using thermal paper. This printer does not work with regular copy paper.
- Incorrect Paper Orientation: Verify the thermal paper is inserted with the correct side facing up. The printable side of thermal paper is typically smoother.
- Connection Issues: For Bluetooth, ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and the printer is correctly paired within the Phomemo app. For USB, confirm the cable is securely connected and the correct driver is installed on your computer.
- Low Battery: Charge the printer if the battery is low.
6.2 Print Quality Issues
- Faint Prints: Adjust the print density settings in the Phomemo app or printer driver. Ensure the thermal paper is not old or improperly stored.
- Streaks or Gaps: Clean the print head as described in the Maintenance section.
- Paper Creasing: Ensure paper is inserted straight and smoothly into the printer.
