- Do not immerse the cooktop in water or any other liquid.
- Keep the cooktop surface clean and free from debris.
- Use only induction-compatible cookware. The cooktop will display an error ("Pot") if incompatible cookware is used.
- The surface remains hot after use. Do not touch immediately.
- The cooktop has a built-in fan for cooling. Ensure proper ventilation around the unit.
- Avoid boiling large amounts of water that could overflow and damage the electrical components.
- Consider using a silicone mat under the cooktop to protect surfaces, especially wooden ones, from heat.
3. Setup
Before first use, ensure the cooktop is placed on a stable, flat, and heat-resistant surface. Allow adequate space around the unit for ventilation.
Connecting to Power:
Plug the cooktop's power cord into a standard 120V, 15A electrical outlet. For optimal safety and performance, especially when drawing high power, a surge protector or power strip with adequate capacity is recommended, though not strictly necessary.
Cookware Compatibility:
The Duxtop induction cooktop requires cookware made of magnetic materials. This includes cast iron, iron, magnetic steel, enameled iron, and stainless steel with a magnetic bottom. To test compatibility, hold a magnet to the bottom of your cookware. If it sticks, it is compatible.
