Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your pressure washer.
6.1 Cleaning the Unit
- After each use, disconnect the power and water supply.
- Drain any remaining water from the pump and hoses.
- Clean the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals.
- Use the included needle clean-out tool to clear any blockages from the nozzle tips.
6.2 Storage and Winterization
Proper storage, especially in freezing temperatures, is crucial to prevent damage.
- Drain Water: Disconnect all hoses and attachments. Run the pump for a few seconds (without water connected) to expel any remaining water.
- Antifreeze (for freezing climates): Pour a non-toxic antifreeze (RV antifreeze) into the water inlet and run the pump briefly until antifreeze comes out of the high-pressure outlet. This protects internal components from freezing.
- Store: Store the pressure washer in a dry, climate-controlled area, protected from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures.
- Hose and Cord Management: Use the onboard hose reel to neatly store the high-pressure hose. Wrap the power cord securely.
