3. Setup and Installation
3.1 Mounting the Motor
- Identify the four M6 screw holes on the gearbox housing for secure mounting.
- Ensure the mounting surface is flat and rigid enough to support the motor's weight and operational torque.
- Use appropriate M6 screws (not included) of sufficient length to firmly attach the motor to your application. Avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the motor housing.

3.2 Electrical Connection
- Connect the motor to a stable DC 12V power supply.
- The motor has two wires (typically red and black). Connecting them one way will cause rotation in one direction, and reversing the polarity will cause rotation in the opposite direction.
- Ensure all connections are secure and insulated to prevent short circuits.
- It is recommended to use a fuse or circuit breaker appropriate for the motor's 60W power rating to protect the circuit.

4. Operating Instructions
- Power On: Apply DC 12V power to the motor's terminals. The motor will begin to rotate at its rated speed of 60 RPM.
- Direction Control: To reverse the direction of rotation, reverse the polarity of the DC power supply connected to the motor's wires.
- Load Application: Apply the load gradually. Ensure the load does not exceed the motor's rated torque of 8N.M to prevent damage or stalling.
- Continuous Operation: The motor is designed for continuous operation within its specified limits. Monitor the motor's temperature during extended use.
Safety Note: The temperature of the motor will rise during use. Avoid touching the motor surface with bare hands during or immediately after operation to prevent burns.
5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your motor.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the motor to remove dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use solvents or immerse the motor in liquids.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the motor for any signs of wear, loose connections, or damage to the wiring. Ensure mounting screws remain tight.
- Ventilation: Ensure the motor has adequate ventilation to dissipate heat, especially during prolonged operation. Do not obstruct the motor's cooling surfaces.
- Lubrication: The gearbox is typically sealed and pre-lubricated for its lifespan. No additional lubrication is generally required. If unusual noises or resistance are observed, consult a qualified technician.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Motor does not run | No power supply; Incorrect voltage; Loose wiring; Motor overload; Internal fault. | Check power supply (DC 12V); Verify wiring connections; Reduce load; Consult support if internal fault is suspected. |
| Motor runs slowly or with reduced torque | Insufficient voltage; Excessive load; Friction in application; Worn components. | Check power supply voltage; Reduce load; Inspect application for friction; Consult support. |
| Unusual noise or vibration | Loose mounting; Damaged gears; Bearing wear; Foreign object. | Tighten mounting screws; Inspect for damage; Consult support. |
| Motor overheats | Excessive load; Insufficient ventilation; Prolonged operation. | Reduce load; Ensure adequate airflow around motor; Allow motor to cool periodically. |
