Setup

Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker. Connect the charging cable to the speaker's charging port and a standard USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator light will show the charging status.

Power On/Off

  • To power on: Press and hold the Power button until the LED lights illuminate.
  • To power off: Press and hold the Power button until the LED lights turn off.

Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth pairing mode (indicated by a flashing Bluetooth LED).
  2. On your mobile device, navigate to the Bluetooth settings.
  3. Select "Altec Shockwave" from the list of available devices.
  4. Once paired, the Bluetooth LED will glow solid, and you will hear an audible confirmation.

True Wireless Pairing (TWS)

You can pair two Altec Lansing Shockwave IMT7000RB speakers together for a stereo sound experience.

  1. Ensure both Shockwave speakers are powered on and not connected to any Bluetooth device.
  2. On one speaker (this will be your primary speaker), press and hold the True Wireless Pairing button (often indicated by two speaker icons).
  3. The primary speaker will search for the secondary speaker. Once connected, you will hear an audible confirmation, and the LED indicators on both speakers will change.
  4. Now, connect your mobile device to the primary speaker via Bluetooth as described above. Audio will play through both speakers in stereo.

Operating the Speaker

Basic Controls

  • Power Button: Press and hold to power on/off. Short press to cycle through modes (Bluetooth, AUX, Radio).
  • Volume Up/Next Track: Short press for volume up. Long press for next track.
  • Volume Down/Previous Track: Short press for volume down. Long press for previous track.
  • Play/Pause: Press to play or pause audio.
  • Bass Boost: Press the BASS button to activate or deactivate bass boost.

LED Light Control

The Shockwave speaker features a HyperEdge LED light show with multiple modes.

  • Press the LED Light Control button (often indicated by a star or light icon) to cycle through different light modes.
  • Press and hold the LED Light Control button to turn the lights off or on.

AUX Mode

To play audio from a device without Bluetooth, use the AUX input.

  1. Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from your audio device's headphone jack to the speaker's AUX input port.
  2. Press the Mode button (or Power button if it cycles modes) until the speaker enters AUX mode.
  3. Control playback and volume from your connected audio device.

Radio Function

The speaker includes an FM radio tuner.

  1. Press the Mode button until the speaker enters Radio mode.
  2. Use the Play/Pause button to auto-scan and save available FM stations.
  3. Use the Next/Previous Track buttons to navigate through saved stations.

IP67 Waterproof and Dustproof

The Shockwave speaker is rated IP67, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. Ensure all port covers are securely closed before exposing the speaker to water or dust.

Built-in Smartphone Charger
