Setup
Binocular Adjustment
- Interpupillary Distance Adjustment: Hold the binoculars with both hands and look through them. Adjust the distance between the two barrels by moving them closer or further apart until you see a single, clear circular field of view.
- Eyecup Adjustment: If you wear eyeglasses, twist the eyecups down. If you do not wear eyeglasses, twist the eyecups up to the desired position for comfortable viewing.
- Diopter Adjustment: Close your right eye and focus on a distant object using the center focus wheel until the image in your left eye is sharp. Then, close your left eye and use the diopter ring (located on the right eyepiece) to focus the image in your right eye. Once both are focused, use only the center focus wheel for subsequent focusing.

Vault Bino Caddy Setup
- Harness Attachment: Attach the ultralight harness to the Vault Bino Caddy using the quick-release buckles. Adjust the straps for a stable and comfortable fit without excessive bulk.
- Binocular Placement: Place your Bushnell Prime 10x42 Binoculars into the main compartment of the caddy. The forward-opening top with a magnetic hold-open feature allows for easy one-handed access.
- Riser Usage: A riser is included for smaller binoculars to ensure a snug fit and easy retrieval. Insert the riser into the bottom of the main compartment if your binoculars require it.
- Accessory Pockets: Utilize the mesh pockets with elastic bands on both sides for storing small items like wind checkers or mouth calls.

Operating Instructions
Using the Binoculars
- Once the interpupillary distance and diopter are set, use the center focus wheel to bring objects at various distances into sharp focus.
- The binoculars are waterproof and fog-proof, making them suitable for use in various weather conditions.
- For extended viewing, the binoculars are tripod compatible. Locate the threaded adapter on the front hinge to attach a tripod adapter (sold separately).
Using the Vault Bino Caddy
- The magnetic closure provides quiet, one-handed access to your binoculars, ensuring they are secure when not in use.
- The soft-touch fabric of the caddy helps reduce noise from movement in the field.
Maintenance and Care
Cleaning Lenses
Your Bushnell Prime binoculars feature EXO Barrier Protection, a molecularly bonded coating that repels water, oil, fog, dust, and debris. To clean the lenses:
- Gently brush away any dust or large debris with a soft lens brush or compressed air.
- Use the integrated lens cleaning cloth (found in the caddy's internal stretch pocket) to wipe the lenses in a circular motion. For stubborn smudges, a small amount of lens cleaning fluid can be applied to the cloth, not directly to the lens.
General Care
- Store your binoculars and caddy in a cool, dry place when not in use.
- Avoid exposing the binoculars to extreme temperatures for prolonged periods.
- Do not attempt to disassemble the binoculars or caddy, as this will void the warranty.
Troubleshooting
Blurry Image
- Ensure the interpupillary distance is correctly set for your eyes.
- Verify that the diopter adjustment is properly calibrated for your vision.
- Adjust the center focus wheel for the specific distance of the object you are viewing.
Fogging Lenses
- While the binoculars are fog-proof, sudden extreme temperature changes can sometimes cause temporary external condensation. Allow the binoculars to acclimate to the ambient temperature.
- Ensure lens caps are properly secured when not in use to prevent moisture ingress.
