Your eAhora AM200 Pro Electric Bike comes partially assembled. Follow these steps for final assembly and initial setup:
4.1 Unboxing and Inspection
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Inspect for any shipping damage. Report any damage to your retailer immediately.
- Verify all parts listed in the packing list are present.
4.2 Handlebar Installation
- Unfold the stem if it is in a folded position.
- Insert the handlebar into the stem and align it properly.
- Tighten the handlebar clamp bolts securely.
4.3 Front Wheel Installation (if applicable)
- Carefully lift the front of the bike.
- Insert the front wheel into the fork dropouts, ensuring the brake rotor aligns with the caliper.
- Secure the wheel using the quick-release skewer or axle nuts.
4.4 Pedal Installation
- Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals.
- The right pedal (R) threads clockwise into the crank arm.
- The left pedal (L) threads counter-clockwise into the crank arm.
- Tighten pedals firmly with a wrench.

5.3 Pedal Assist System (PAS)
- The PAS system provides motor assistance as you pedal.
- Use the '+' and '-' buttons on the control panel to adjust the assist level. Higher levels provide more assistance.
- Level 0 means no motor assistance.
5.4 Throttle Operation
The eAhora AM200 Pro may include a thumb throttle for instant power without pedaling. Use the throttle responsibly and in accordance with local regulations.
5.5 Gear Shifting (Shimano 9-Speed)
- Use the Shimano shifter to change gears.
- Shift to a lower gear (larger cog on the rear cassette) for climbing hills.
- Shift to a higher gear (smaller cog on the rear cassette) for faster speeds on flat terrain.
- Shift gears smoothly and avoid shifting under heavy load.
5.6 Braking System (Hydraulic Brakes)
- The bike is equipped with hydraulic disc brakes for powerful and consistent stopping.
- Apply both front and rear brakes simultaneously for effective and controlled stopping.
- Avoid sudden, hard braking, especially at high speeds or on loose surfaces.
- Regularly check brake pads for wear and replace as needed.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance is crucial for the performance and longevity of your e-bike.
6.1 Cleaning
- Clean the bike regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap.
- Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components.
- Dry the bike thoroughly after cleaning.
6.2 Battery Care
- Charge the battery after each ride, or at least once a month if not in use.
- Store the battery in a cool, dry place, ideally between 10°C and 20°C (50°F and 68°F).
- Do not store the battery completely discharged or fully charged for extended periods. Aim for 50-70% charge for long-term storage.
6.3 Tire Pressure
- Check tire pressure before each ride. The recommended pressure for 26" x 4.0" fat tires is typically between 5-30 PSI, but refer to the tire sidewall for exact specifications.
- Proper tire pressure improves ride quality, efficiency, and prevents punctures.
6.4 Brakes
- Inspect brake pads for wear. Replace them when they are worn down to 1mm or less.
- Check brake levers for proper tension and responsiveness.
- If brakes feel spongy or lose effectiveness, they may need bleeding or adjustment by a qualified technician.
6.5 Chain and Drivetrain
- Keep the chain clean and lubricated.
- Regularly check for chain stretch and wear.
- Ensure gears shift smoothly. Adjust derailleur if necessary.
6.6 Fasteners
- Periodically check all bolts and nuts for tightness, especially on the handlebars, stem, wheels, and seatpost.
- Do not overtighten, as this can strip threads or damage components.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your eAhora AM200 Pro Electric Bike.
