3. Maintenance
3.1 Battery Care
To maintain optimal battery performance, ensure the headset is regularly charged on the base when not in use. If the headset experiences issues, an unplugged reset (see Troubleshooting) may involve temporarily removing the battery.
3.2 Cleaning
Wipe the headset and base with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Ensure no moisture enters the charging ports or microphone.
4. Troubleshooting
4.1 Microphone Issues on Computer
If callers cannot hear you or your microphone is not functioning correctly when connected to a computer, check the following:
- Unmute Headset: Ensure the headset is not muted (FocusLight should be blue, not purple).
- Input Settings (Windows/Mac): Verify that the 'DECT Headset' is selected as the default input device in your computer's sound settings.
- Softphone Settings: Within your softphone application (e.g., Zoom), confirm that 'DECT Headset' is selected as the microphone input.
Video: Guide to fixing audio issues on your computer, including checking input settings and softphone configurations.
4.2 Unplugged Reset
An unplugged reset can resolve various operational issues. To perform this:
- Remove the headset from the charging base.
- Unplug the power cord from the back of the charging base.
- Remove the battery from the headset (locate the battery door on the bottom of the earcup, gently pull the tab to open, and remove the battery).
- Leave the battery and power cord disconnected for 30 seconds.
- Reinsert the battery into the headset, ensuring the arrow and 'Leitner' text on the battery face towards the on/off button. Close the battery door.
- Reconnect the power cord to the charging base.
- Resync the headset: Press and hold the Phone mode button on the base until it flashes. Then, press and hold the On/Off button on the headset for 5 seconds until it flashes blue. Release when it flashes blue. The headset will then flash purple. When all flashing stops and the Phone mode light on the base is solid, the headset is paired.

4.3 Sound Optimization
Wireless headsets may occasionally require a resync to optimize sound. Follow the unplugged reset procedure above. If issues persist, ensure your phone's compatibility switches are correctly set (refer to section 1.3).
