- Measure the Opening: Use a tape measure to determine the width of the opening where the gate will be installed. The gate fits openings from 29 to 43 inches. Select the appropriate extensions (2.7'' or 5.5'') to match your opening width.
- Install Wall Cups and Tension Bolts: Attach the 3M adhesive pads to the wall cups. Install the wall cups at the desired height on both sides of the opening. Insert the tension bolts into the gate's corners and align them with the installed wall cups.
- Tighten Pressure Bolts: Begin by tightening the bottom pressure bolts evenly. Then, tighten the top pressure bolts. Continue tightening until the gap in the door latch mechanism is reduced to approximately 0.078 inches (2 mm). This ensures proper tension and stability.
- Cut Zip Tie: Once the gate is securely installed and the gap is correctly adjusted, you may cut the zip tie that holds the gate frame together during shipping.
