4. Setup Guide

4.1. SIM Card Installation

  1. Gently remove the protective cap from the USB dongle to reveal the USB connector.
  2. Locate the SIM card slot, typically found near the USB connector or on the side of the device.
  3. Insert your activated 4G LTE SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner aligned correctly. Push until it clicks into place.

4.2. Connecting to Power

The hotspot is USB powered. Connect the device to any standard USB power source:

  • A USB port on a laptop or desktop computer.
  • A USB wall adapter (e.g., phone charger).
  • A car USB charger.
  • A power bank.

Once connected, the device will power on automatically. Indicator lights on the device will illuminate, typically showing power status and network signal strength.

4.3. Initial Wi-Fi Connection

After powering on, the hotspot will broadcast a Wi-Fi network. The default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password (Wi-Fi Key) are usually printed on a label on the device itself or on its packaging. Refer to this label for your specific device's credentials.

  1. On your device (phone, laptop, tablet), open your Wi-Fi settings.
  2. Scan for available Wi-Fi networks.
  3. Select the SSID corresponding to your ASHATA hotspot.
  4. Enter the default Wi-Fi Key when prompted.
  5. Once connected, your device should have internet access.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Connecting Additional Devices

To connect more devices (up to 10 simultaneously), repeat the steps outlined in Section 4.3. Each device will use the same Wi-Fi network name and password.

5.2. Network Security

The ASHATA hotspot utilizes WPA/WPA2 encryption protocols to secure your wireless network. It is recommended to keep the default password strong or change it to a unique, complex password for optimal security. Consult the device's web interface (if available, typically accessed via a browser by typing a specific IP address like 192.168.1.1) for advanced security settings, including changing the SSID and password.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ASHATA Portable WiFi Hotspot, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
  • Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or high humidity.
  • Do not drop or subject the device to strong impacts.
  • Ensure proper ventilation when in use; do not cover the device.
  • When not in use, store the device in a cool, dry place and replace the protective USB cap.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your ASHATA Portable WiFi Hotspot, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
