Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your XTRONS 4G LTE USB Dongle. This device functions as both a 4G USB Modem and a portable Wi-Fi Router, designed to provide high-speed internet access for various devices, including XTRONS Android Car Stereos, laptops, UMPCs, and MID devices.

Important Note: This dongle supports USA Mini-SIM cards ONLY. A SIM card is not included and must be purchased separately.

1. Inserting the SIM Card

The XTRONS 4G LTE USB Dongle requires a Mini-SIM card (25mm x 15mm) for 4G connectivity. Ensure the SIM card is active and has a data plan.

1. Locate the SIM card slot on the side of the dongle.
2. Carefully insert the Mini-SIM card into the slot with the gold contacts facing down and the notched corner aligned correctly. Push until it clicks into place.
3. Ensure the SIM card is fully seated and does not protrude.

2. Connecting the Dongle

Once the SIM card is inserted, connect the dongle to a compatible USB port on your device.

• For XTRONS Android Car Stereos: Plug the dongle into an available USB port on your car stereo. The system should automatically detect the device and initiate the connection.
• For Laptops/UMPCs/MID Devices: Plug the dongle into an available USB port. The device is "Free Drive," meaning it should install necessary drivers automatically without manual setup.

Operating Instructions

As a 4G USB Modem

When connected to a compatible device, the dongle acts as a 4G modem, providing direct internet access to that device. The indicator light on the dongle will show its connection status (e.g., solid blue for connected, blinking for activity).

• High Speed Data Rate: Enjoy downlink speeds of up to 100Mbps and uplink speeds of up to 50Mbps.
• Automatic Connection: After inserting the SIM card and connecting the dongle, it should automatically establish a 4G connection.

As a USB Wi-Fi Router

• Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID): The default SSID is typically "4GWifiXXXX" (where XXXX are the last four digits of the dongle's MAC address or a unique identifier).
• Wi-Fi Password (WIFIKEY): The default password is "12345678". This information is usually printed on the back of the dongle.
• Router IP: The default IP address for accessing the dongle's web interface (if available) is "192.168.43.1".
• Login Password: The default login password for the web interface is "admin".
• Connecting Devices: On your Wi-Fi enabled device (smartphone, tablet, laptop), search for available Wi-Fi networks, select the dongle's SSID, and enter the WIFIKEY to connect.
