3. Product Features
- Strong Bluetooth 5.0 Signal: Bluetooth 5.0 technology provides a greater wireless range of 65ft and efficient connection to any Bluetooth devices like iPhone, Android mobile phone, iPod, tablet, or PC. Built-in Bluetooth amplifier with stereo surround sound ensures stable connection.

4. Setup and Installation
4.1 Connecting the Speakers
- Identify the active speaker (with power input and Bluetooth module) and the passive speaker.
- Connect the included speaker cable from the active speaker's output terminals to the passive speaker's input terminals. Ensure correct polarity (red to red, black to black).
- Connect the power adapter to the active speaker's power input, then plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet (110-240 Volts).

4.2 Mounting the Speakers
The speakers come with versatile swivel brackets for easy installation and optimal sound direction.
- Attach the mounting brackets to your desired surface (wall, ceiling, patio post) using appropriate screws (not included, as screw type depends on mounting surface).
- Secure the speakers to the brackets. The brackets allow for a 120-degree range of motion, and the speaker face can rotate up to 91 degrees.
- Adjust the angle of the speakers to direct sound towards your listening area.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
Once connected to power, the active speaker will automatically power on. There is no physical on/off switch on the speakers. To power off, disconnect the power adapter from the electrical outlet.
5.2 Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure the active speaker is powered on. The Bluetooth indicator light on the active speaker will begin to flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet, PC), go to the Bluetooth settings.
- Search for available devices. You should see "Herdio Speaker" or a similar name in the list.
- Select "Herdio Speaker" to connect. Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light will become solid, and you may hear an audible confirmation.
- You can now play audio from your device through the Herdio speakers.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Herdio speakers, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the speaker enclosures. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish and components.
- Water Resistance: While the speakers are marine-grade waterproof (IP44), they are not designed for submersion. Ensure they are installed in locations where direct, prolonged exposure to heavy rain or standing water is minimized.
- Rust Prevention: The speaker grills are designed to be rust-proof. However, regular inspection and cleaning, especially in salty or humid environments, can help maintain their appearance.
- Cable Inspection: Periodically check all cables for any signs of wear, fraying, or damage. Replace damaged cables immediately to prevent electrical hazards or performance issues.
