2. Safety Information
Please read and understand all safety warnings before installation and operation. Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage, serious injury, or death.
- High Sound Pressure: This product produces extremely loud sounds (up to 147.7 dB). Prolonged exposure to high sound levels can cause permanent hearing damage. Always wear hearing protection during testing or operation.
- Air Pressure: This system operates with compressed air. Ensure all connections are secure and rated for the operating pressure. Never exceed the maximum recommended pressure.
- Electrical Connections: Improper electrical wiring can cause fire or electrical shock. Ensure all wiring is correctly connected, fused, and insulated. Disconnect the vehicle's battery before making electrical connections.
- Installation: Professional installation is recommended. If installing yourself, ensure the system is securely mounted and does not interfere with vehicle operation or safety features. Avoid mounting near heat sources or moving parts.
- Usage: Use train horns responsibly and in accordance with local laws and regulations. Avoid using in residential areas or near pedestrians, as the extreme volume can cause distress or panic.

4.1. Component Assembly
- Mounting the Horns: The Shocker S6 horns feature a manifold-less design, allowing for flexible mounting of individual horns. Securely attach each horn to a stable surface on your vehicle using the provided hardware. Ensure horns are positioned to direct sound effectively and are clear of moving parts or excessive heat.
- Connecting Air Lines: Connect the 1/2" air line from your air tank/compressor system to the stainless steel 1/2" electric air valve. Then, use the provided 5/16" air lines and fittings to connect the air valve to each of the six individual horns. Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.
- Electrical Wiring: Connect the electric air valve to a 12V power source. It is recommended to wire the valve through a relay and a momentary switch (horn button) in the vehicle's cabin. Ensure appropriate fusing is used to protect the circuit.

5. Operating Instructions
Once the HornBlasters Shocker S6 Train Horn system is fully installed and your air tank is pressurized (minimum 120 PSI recommended), the horn is ready for operation.
- Ensure Air Pressure: Confirm that your air tank has sufficient pressure. The compressor will automatically engage to maintain pressure as needed.
- Activate Horn: Press the momentary horn button installed in your vehicle's cabin. This will activate the electric air valve, allowing compressed air to flow through the horns and produce the sound.
- Release Button: Release the horn button to stop the sound. The air valve will close, and the compressor will begin to repressurize the tank if necessary.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your HornBlasters Shocker S6 Train Horn system.
- Check Air Lines and Fittings: Periodically inspect all air lines and fittings for cracks, wear, or leaks. Tighten any loose connections. Replace damaged components immediately.
- Drain Air Tank: If your air system includes a tank, regularly drain any accumulated moisture from the bottom of the tank to prevent rust and corrosion.
- Clean Horns: Keep the horn trumpets free from dirt, debris, and insect nests. A soft cloth and mild soap can be used for cleaning. Avoid using harsh chemicals that may damage the ABS material.
- Electrical Connections: Inspect electrical wiring for corrosion or damage. Ensure all connections remain secure.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Shocker S6 Train Horn, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Horn does not sound. | No air pressure; faulty electrical connection; damaged air valve; clogged air line. | Check air tank pressure. Verify all electrical connections and fuses. Inspect air lines for blockages or kinks. Test the electric air valve. |
| Weak or inconsistent sound. | Low air pressure; air leak; partially clogged air line; damaged horn diaphragm. | Ensure air tank is fully pressurized. Check all air line connections for leaks. Clear any obstructions in air lines or horn trumpets. Inspect horn diaphragms for damage. |
| Compressor runs constantly. | Air leak in the system; faulty pressure switch. | Locate and repair any air leaks. Inspect or replace the pressure switch on your air tank/compressor system. |
