1. Introduction

3. Setup

3.1. Charging the Mouse

Before initial use, ensure the mouse is fully charged. Connect the supplied USB-C cable to the mouse's USB-C port and the other end to a powered USB port on your computer or a USB wall adapter. The LED indicator will show charging status.

3.2. Connectivity Options

The CadMouse Pro Wireless offers three connection methods:

• 2.4 GHz RF (Universal Receiver): Insert the 3Dconnexion Universal Receiver into an available USB port on your computer. The mouse and receiver are pre-paired.
• Bluetooth: Activate Bluetooth on your computer. Turn on the mouse and press the Bluetooth pairing button on the underside (refer to Image 3.2). Select 'CadMouse Pro Wireless' from your computer's Bluetooth device list to pair.
• USB-C Cable: Connect the mouse directly to your computer using the supplied USB-C cable. This also charges the mouse.

3.3. Driver Installation

For full functionality and customization, download and install the latest 3Dconnexion drivers (3DxWare) from the official 3Dconnexion website. This software allows you to configure button assignments, DPI settings, and other mouse parameters.

4. Operating the Mouse

The CadMouse Pro Wireless Mouse features seven programmable buttons and a Smart Mouse Wheel 2 for enhanced control in CAD applications.

4.1. Button Functions

• Left/Right Click: Standard mouse functions.
• Middle Mouse Button: Dedicated middle button for CAD applications, often used for pan, zoom, or orbit functions.
• Side Buttons (Forward/Back): Located on the thumb rest, these buttons are typically used for navigation or can be customized via 3DxWare.
• Top Button: Often used for quick access to a radial menu or other customizable functions.

4.2. Smart Mouse Wheel 2

The Smart Mouse Wheel 2 offers adaptive scrolling speed and precision. It can switch between click-to-click and hyper-fast scrolling modes, and also provides a dedicated middle-click function.

4.3. DPI Settings

The mouse features a 7200 dpi optical sensor, providing high precision. DPI settings can be adjusted through the 3DxWare software to match your workflow and screen resolution.

5.1. Cleaning

To clean the mouse, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure no liquid enters the mouse's internal components. Regularly clean the optical sensor area on the underside to maintain tracking accuracy.

5.2. Battery Management

The CadMouse Pro Wireless Mouse has an average battery life of up to two months on a single charge, depending on usage. When the battery is low, the LED indicator will signal, and you should connect the mouse via the USB-C cable for charging. The mouse can be used while charging.

6. Troubleshooting

• Mouse not responding: Check battery level. Ensure the mouse is powered on. Verify the connection (USB cable, Universal Receiver, or Bluetooth pairing). Try a different USB port.
• Inaccurate tracking: Clean the optical sensor on the underside of the mouse. Ensure you are using the mouse on a suitable surface (e.g., a mouse pad).
• Buttons not working as expected: Ensure 3DxWare drivers are installed and up to date. Check button assignments within the 3DxWare software.
• Connectivity issues: For 2.4 GHz, ensure the Universal Receiver is properly inserted. For Bluetooth, re-pair the device. Avoid sources of interference.
