1. Introduction

The IMOUMLIVE 2-in-1 Cordless Pole Saw & Mini Chainsaw (Model DLJ-8X) is a versatile battery-powered tool designed for various gardening and tree trimming tasks. This device combines the functionality of a handheld mini chainsaw with an extendable pole saw, offering flexibility for both ground-level and overhead work. 2. Safety Instructions

WARNING: Always read and understand the entire manual before operating this product. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.

• Use only the original charger to charge the original battery. Supervise charging at all times.
• Store batteries in a cool, dry environment. Ensure the battery is at room temperature when charging.
• This chainsaw must only be used with original batteries.
• If the motor becomes hot during use, turn off the machine and allow it to dissipate heat for 5-10 minutes.
• If overheat protection is triggered, turn off the saw, remove the battery, and contact support.
• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety goggles, gloves, and hearing protection.
• Users under the age of 22 or over 65 should use under supervision.

4. Setup and Assembly

4.1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the 3.0Ah Li-ion battery using the provided charger. The battery features an indicator to show the charge level. Ensure the battery is at room temperature during charging.

4.2. Assembling the Chainsaw Unit

Attach the handle and protective baffle (handguard) to the chainsaw unit using the provided screws and screwdriver. Ensure all components are securely fastened.

4.3. Adding Bar Chain Oil

Locate the oil reservoir on the chainsaw unit. Fill it with appropriate bar chain oil. The chainsaw features an upgraded lubrication system. After filling, press the clear bubble on the side of the chainsaw several times to prime the oil and ensure the chain is properly lubricated before operation.

4.4. Attaching Chainsaw to Pole

To use the tool as a pole saw, securely attach the chainsaw unit to the rotatable, multi-angle adjustable telescopic pole. Ensure the connection is firm and locked into place before operation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Adjusting Pole Length and Angle

The telescopic pole extends from 6.2 ft to 10.6 ft, providing a maximum reach of up to 16.6 ft (for a 6-foot tall person). Use the quick-release clamps to adjust the pole to the desired length. The chainsaw head can be rotated to multiple angles for optimal cutting in various situations.

5.2. Using as a Handheld Chainsaw

For trimming low branches or other ground-level tasks, the chainsaw unit can be detached from the pole and used independently. Ensure the battery is securely inserted and the chain is lubricated before starting.

5.3. Using as a Pole Saw

For overhead trimming, attach the chainsaw unit to the extended pole. Always maintain a stable stance and keep both hands on the pole. Avoid cutting branches thicker than the recommended capacity (typically up to 8 inches for this model) to prevent kickback or damage to the tool.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Chain Lubrication

Regularly check and ensure the chain is adequately lubricated. The electric pole saw is equipped with an upgraded lubrication system. Press the oil bubble periodically during operation to maintain optimal chain performance and extend its lifespan.

6.2. Chain Tension Adjustment

The tool features a tool-free chain tension system. Periodically check the chain tension and adjust as needed to ensure efficient and safe cutting. A properly tensioned chain prevents slippage and improves cutting performance.

6.3. Blade Sharpening

Keep the chainsaw blade sharp for optimal cutting efficiency. A dull blade can lead to poor performance and increased motor strain. Use the provided file or a suitable sharpening tool to maintain the sharpness of the chain teeth.

6.4. Battery Storage

For long-term storage, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) and stored in a cool, dry environment. Avoid extreme temperatures. Charge the battery once a month for 1-2 hours to maintain its health.

7. Troubleshooting

• Saw not starting: Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Check that the safety switch is disengaged.
• Poor cutting performance: Check chain tension and adjust if loose. Ensure the chain is sharp and lubricated.
• Motor overheating: Turn off the machine immediately and allow it to cool down. If the overheat protection is triggered, remove the battery and contact customer support.
• Chain coming off: Verify correct chain tension. Ensure the chain is installed correctly on the guide bar.
