4.2 Setting Date and Time

To ensure recordings are timestamped correctly, connect the recorder to a computer. The device usually synchronizes its internal clock with the computer's system time upon connection. Refer to the device's internal files (e.g., a "Time.txt" file) for specific instructions on manual time setting if automatic synchronization does not occur.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Slide the ON/OFF switch to the "ON" position. The indicator light will illuminate briefly.
  • To Power Off: Slide the ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position. The device will save any current recording and power down.

5.2 One-Touch Recording

The device is designed for simple, one-touch recording.

  • With the device powered on, a single press of the designated record button (often the "Play" button on the remote or a specific button on the device itself, refer to your specific model's button layout) will start recording.
  • Press the button again to stop and save the recording. Recordings are typically named by date and time for easy management.

5.3 Voice Activated Recording (VAR)

The Voice Activated Recording feature allows the recorder to start recording automatically when sound is detected and pause when silence occurs, saving memory and battery life.

  • To activate/deactivate VAR, consult the full user manual or connect the device to a computer and look for a settings file (e.g., "Settings.txt") where VAR sensitivity can be adjusted.

You can listen to your recordings directly from the device or by transferring them to a computer or Android phone.
