1. Steer Tube Preparation: Measure and cut the steer tube to the appropriate length for your bicycle frame and stem. Ensure sufficient length for proper headset stack height. Deburr the edges after cutting.
2. Crown Race Installation: Install the crown race onto the base of the steer tube. Use a proper crown race setting tool to ensure it is fully seated.
3. Fork Installation: Insert the steer tube through the head tube of your bicycle frame. Install the headset bearings, spacers, and stem according to your bicycle manufacturer's instructions.
4. Brake Caliper Installation: Mount your disc brake caliper to the Post Mount tabs on the fork's lower leg. Ensure proper alignment and torque specifications are met for your brake system.
5. Wheel Installation: Install your 24-inch front wheel into the fork dropouts. Secure the wheel using your quick release skewer or thru-axle (if applicable) according to manufacturer guidelines.

Operating Instructions

The Spinner 300 Suspension Fork offers two primary adjustments: remote lockout and preload.

Remote Lockout

The remote lockout feature allows you to stiffen the fork's suspension, effectively reducing or eliminating suspension travel. This is beneficial for climbing, sprinting, or riding on smooth surfaces where suspension is not desired, improving pedaling efficiency.

• To Engage Lockout: Press the lever on your handlebar to activate the lockout. The fork will become rigid or nearly rigid.
• To Disengage Lockout: Press the release button on the lever to return the fork to its active suspension mode.

Note: Avoid riding with the lockout engaged on rough terrain or during descents, as this can damage the fork and compromise handling.

Preload Adjustment

The preload adjustment allows you to fine-tune the initial stiffness of the coil spring. This helps set the sag (the amount the fork compresses under the rider's weight) and can be adjusted to suit different rider weights or preferences.

• Locate the preload dial on the top of the left fork leg (as shown in Figure 8).
• Turn the dial clockwise to increase preload (stiffer spring).
• Turn the dial counter-clockwise to decrease preload (softer spring).

Adjust the preload until you achieve the desired sag, typically 15-25% of the total travel, when seated on the bike in your normal riding position.

• Cleaning: After each ride, especially in dirty or wet conditions, wipe down the stanchions and seals with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on the seals.
