Front Panel

5. Setup
5.1 Power Connection
- Plug the AC power cord into the AC power input jack on the back of the unit.
- Plug the other end of the power cord into a standard AC wall outlet (120V AC, 60Hz).
- The unit will power on and the display will light up.
5.2 Battery Backup (Optional)
The unit requires 2 x 'AAA' batteries (not included) for clock backup. This ensures that the time and alarm settings are retained during a power outage.
- Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
- Insert 2 'AAA' batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
6. Operating the Unit
6.1 Setting the Clock
- In standby mode, press and hold the SET CLOCK button until the hour digits flash.
- Press the TUNE +/- buttons to adjust the hour. Pay attention to the AM/PM indicator.
- Press the SET CLOCK button again, and the minute digits will flash.
- Press the TUNE +/- buttons to adjust the minutes.
- Press the SET CLOCK button once more to confirm and exit clock setting mode.
6.2 Setting Alarms (Dual Alarm)
The unit features two independent alarms (AL1 and AL2).
- Press and hold the AL1 SET/OFF button (or AL2 SET/OFF for Alarm 2) until the alarm hour digits flash.
- Press the TUNE +/- buttons to adjust the alarm hour.
- Press the AL1 SET/OFF button again, and the alarm minute digits will flash.
- Press the TUNE +/- buttons to adjust the alarm minutes.
- Press the AL1 SET/OFF button again to select the alarm source: CD, RADIO, or Buzzer.
- Press the AL1 SET/OFF button once more to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.
- To activate an alarm, press the AL1 SET/OFF (or AL2 SET/OFF) button repeatedly until the alarm icon appears on the display. To deactivate, press until the icon disappears.
6.3 Radio Operation (AM/FM)
- Press the FUNCTION button repeatedly to select either FM or AM radio mode.
- Press the TUNE +/- buttons to manually tune to your desired frequency.
- To auto-scan for the next available station, press and hold the TUNE +/- button for a few seconds until the frequency starts scanning.
- To store a radio station as a preset: Tune to the desired station, then press and hold the TIME SET/MEM/PROG button until "PXX" flashes (XX is the preset number). Use TUNE +/- to select the preset number, then press TIME SET/MEM/PROG again to confirm.
- To recall a preset station, press the SLEEP/MEM+ button repeatedly to cycle through stored presets.
6.4 CD Playback
- Open the top-loading CD compartment cover.
- Place a CD, CD-R, or CD-RW disc with the label side facing up into the compartment.
- Close the CD compartment cover.
- Press the FUNCTION button to select CD mode. The unit will begin playing the first track automatically.
- Press PLAY/PAUSE to pause or resume playback.
- Press STOP to stop playback.
- Press SKIP/SEARCH buttons to skip to the next/previous track. Press and hold to search within a track.
- Press PLAY MODE repeatedly to select playback options: Repeat 1 (repeats current track), Repeat All (repeats all tracks), Random.
6.5 USB Charging Port
The USB charging port (DV 5V 800mA) is located on the top panel and can be used to charge compatible smartphone devices.
- Connect your device's USB charging cable (not included) to the USB port on the Jensen JCR-322SB.
- Connect the other end of the cable to your smartphone or other compatible device.
- Charging will begin automatically. Note that this port is for charging only and does not support data transfer.
6.6 Dimmer Control
Press the DIMMER button repeatedly to cycle through display brightness levels: High, Low, and Off.
6.7 Sleep and Snooze Functions
- Sleep Timer: While the unit is playing, press the SLEEP/MEM+ button repeatedly to set the sleep timer (e.g., 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes, Off). The unit will automatically turn off after the selected time.
- Snooze: When an alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button (located on the top panel, often integrated with another button like DIMMER or SLEEP/MEM+) to temporarily silence the alarm for approximately 9 minutes. The alarm will sound again after the snooze period.
