1. Introduction

The LoraTap WiFi Smart Built-in Switch V2N2 is a compact Wi-Fi control module designed to transform your existing manual roller shutter, curtain, blind, or awning switch into a smart, app-controlled device. This module allows for convenient remote operation, voice control, and scheduled automation of your motorized window coverings, enhancing your home's intelligence and comfort.

Once installed, the original manual switch functionality is retained, providing flexible control options via manual operation, the mobile application, or voice commands through compatible smart assistants like Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

4. Setup and Installation

Important Safety Information: Installation should only be performed by a qualified electrician or a person with a thorough understanding of electrical wiring. Ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before beginning any installation work.

4.1 Wiring Diagram

The module requires a neutral wire for operation. Ensure your motor has 4 wires (Blue=Neutral, Black=Up/Down, Brown=Down/Up, Green/Yellow=Ground). The module is only compatible with 4-wire motors.

4.2 Wall Switch Compatibility and Dimensions

The module is compatible with rocker switches and 3-button stability switches. It is NOT compatible with 2-gang push-button or spring switches where the motor operates only when the switch is held down.

The module's dimensions are 48mm x 47mm x 22mm. It requires a wall switch box with a minimum depth of 60mm for proper installation.

4.3 Wi-Fi Network Requirements

The device supports only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. For optimal performance and signal coverage, the installation location of the device should be within 10 meters of your Wi-Fi router.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Mobile App Control

Download the "Smart Life" or "Tuya" app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Follow the in-app instructions to add and configure your LoraTap module. Once connected, you can control your roller shutters remotely from anywhere.

5.2 Voice Control

The LoraTap module is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. After linking your Smart Life/Tuya account to your voice assistant, you can use voice commands to operate your roller shutters.

5.3 Manual Control

The existing wall switch remains fully functional. You can operate the roller shutters manually using the physical switch at any time.

5.4 Timer Function and Scheduling

Set up automated schedules within the Smart Life/Tuya app to open or close your roller shutters at specific times. This feature allows for daily routines, enhancing convenience and energy efficiency.

5.5 Group Control and Family Sharing

Manage multiple LoraTap modules by creating groups in the app. This allows you to control several roller shutters simultaneously. You can also share access to your devices with family members, enabling them to control the smart switches from their own devices.

6. Maintenance

The LoraTap Smart Built-in Switch V2N2 requires minimal maintenance. Ensure the module is kept dry and free from dust. Periodically check the wiring connections to ensure they remain secure. Do not attempt to open or repair the module yourself, as this will void the warranty and may pose a safety risk.

For cleaning, gently wipe the exterior of the module with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
