1. Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the Geevon TX19-1 Wireless Remote Outdoor Sensor. This sensor is designed as a replacement or supplementary unit for compatible Geevon wireless weather stations and indoor/outdoor digital thermometer hygrometers. It measures outdoor temperature and humidity and transmits data wirelessly to the main display unit.
Important Note: Please verify that your existing Geevon weather station or thermometer model is compatible with the TX19-1 sensor prior to purchase and setup. This sensor is not designed for use with weather stations from other brands.
2. Product Overview
The Geevon TX19-1 sensor is a compact, black unit equipped with sensitive vents for accurate temperature and humidity readings. It operates wirelessly and supports multiple channels for monitoring different locations.

3. Setup Instructions
3.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the back of the TX19-1 sensor.
- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 2 x AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
- Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2 Channel Selection and Pairing
The TX19-1 sensor allows you to select one of three channels (1, 2, or 3) to communicate with your main weather station. This is useful if you have multiple sensors or wish to avoid interference.
- After installing batteries, the sensor will automatically begin transmitting.
- On the TX19-1 sensor, locate the channel switch inside the battery compartment or on the back of the unit. Select the desired channel (1, 2, or 3).
- On your main Geevon weather station display unit, select the corresponding channel. Refer to your weather station's manual for specific instructions on how to select or cycle through channels.
- The weather station should automatically detect and display the temperature and humidity data from the sensor on the selected channel. If not, initiate a manual search for sensors on your main unit (refer to its manual).

3.3 Sensor Placement Guidelines
Proper placement of the outdoor sensor is crucial for accurate readings and optimal transmission range.
- Place the sensor in a shaded, well-ventilated area to avoid direct sunlight, which can cause artificially high temperature readings.
- Avoid placing the sensor near heat sources (e.g., heating vents, appliances, direct sunlight on dark surfaces) or moisture sources (e.g., sprinklers, downspouts).
- Ensure the sensor is protected from direct rain and snow, even though it is weather-resistant. An overhang or sheltered location is ideal.
- Position the sensor within the 200-foot (60-meter) transmission range of your main weather station. Walls, large metal objects, and other electronic devices can reduce the effective range.
- Mount the sensor securely to prevent it from falling or being dislodged by wind.

4. Operation
Once the TX19-1 sensor is set up and paired with your main weather station, it operates automatically.
- The sensor continuously monitors outdoor temperature and humidity.
- Data is transmitted wirelessly to the main weather station approximately every 30 seconds.
- The main weather station will display the received data for the selected channel. If multiple sensors are used, you can typically cycle through the channels on the main unit to view readings from each sensor.
- The red indicator light on the sensor may flash briefly during data transmission.

5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement
When the batteries in the sensor are low, the main weather station may indicate a low battery icon for that specific channel, or the sensor may stop transmitting data. Replace batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation.
- Remove the battery compartment cover.
- Remove the old AAA batteries.
- Insert 2 new AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
- The sensor should automatically re-establish connection with the main unit. If not, follow the pairing steps in Section 3.2.
5.2 Cleaning
To maintain optimal performance, periodically clean the sensor.
- Wipe the exterior of the sensor with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the sensor in water.
- Ensure the ventilation slits are free from dust, dirt, or debris. Use a soft brush if necessary.
5.3 Environmental Considerations
- While the sensor is weather-resistant, prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions (e.g., heavy rain, direct snow, extreme heat/cold) can affect its lifespan.
- Ensure the battery compartment remains sealed to prevent water ingress.
