5.2 Emergency Power Port
In case of complete battery depletion, you can temporarily power the lock using an external power bank connected to the emergency power port. This allows you to enter your code and replace the batteries.
5.3 Cleaning
Clean the keypad and lock exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the finish or electronic components.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Veise VS01 lock, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Lock not responding: Check battery levels. If batteries are low or dead, replace them or use the emergency power port. Ensure the cable connection between the exterior and interior assemblies is secure.
- Programming difficulties: Refer to the programming video or the dedicated programming instructions. Ensure you are following the steps precisely, especially regarding the master code and user code entry sequences. A common issue is incorrect entry of the master code or not pressing '#' after each step.
- Auto-lock engaging prematurely or not at all: Verify the auto-lock duration setting. Ensure the door closes completely and the latch can fully extend into the strike plate without obstruction.
- Keypad not lighting up: Check battery levels. If the batteries are new and correctly installed, contact customer support.
- Wrong Code Entry Limit: After 10 invalid code entries, the lock will temporarily disable for 3 minutes to prevent unauthorized access. Wait for the lockout period to expire before attempting to enter the code again.
