Pre-Installation Requirements:

  • Ensure your frameless glass shower door has two 1/2" diameter holes spaced 26" center to center.
  • Verify the glass thickness is between 1/4" and 1/2".
  • Required tools: Allen wrench (supplied), soft cloth.

Installation Steps:

  1. Disassemble the Towel Bar: Carefully remove the screw fasteners from the ends of the towel bar.
  2. Insert Clear Tubes: Place the clear protective tubes into the pre-drilled holes on the glass shower door. These tubes protect the glass from direct contact with the metal.
  3. Install Clear Washers: Position the clear washers between the glass and the towel bar/screw fastener on both sides. This provides cushioning and prevents scratching.
  4. Attach Towel Bar: Align the towel bar with the holes in the glass. Start by loosely installing the screw fastener and washer on one side of the towel bar. Repeat this procedure for the other side.
  5. Ensure Alignment: Verify that the towel bar is straight and properly aligned before tightening.
  6. Tighten Fasteners: Using the supplied Allen wrench, carefully tighten the screw fasteners clockwise until snug. Refer to the diagram for the correct tightening direction.
  7. Do Not Overtighten: Avoid overtightening the screw fasteners, as this can damage the glass or the towel bar.

Usage and Operation

Once installed, the Rockwell Single Sided Towel Bar is ready for immediate use. It is designed to securely hold towels and other lightweight bathroom items. Ensure that the weight placed on the bar does not exceed its intended capacity to maintain stability and prevent damage.

This towel bar is intended for hanging towels and similar items. Avoid using it as a grab bar or for supporting heavy loads, as it is not designed for such purposes.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and maintain the aesthetic appeal of your Rockwell Single Sided Towel Bar, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Clean the brushed nickel finish regularly with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn spots, a mild soap solution can be used.
  • Avoid Harsh Cleaners: Do not use abrasive cleaners, ammonia-based products, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish.
  • Drying: After cleaning, dry the surface thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water spots and maintain the luster of the finish.
  • Periodic Check: Periodically check the screw fasteners to ensure they remain snug. If they become loose, gently tighten them with the supplied Allen wrench, being careful not to overtighten.

Troubleshooting

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your towel bar.

Issue: Towel bar feels loose or wobbly.

Solution: The screw fasteners may have loosened over time due to regular use. Gently tighten the screw fasteners using the supplied Allen wrench. Ensure not to overtighten, as this can stress the glass or the hardware.

Issue: Finish appears dull or stained.

Solution: This can occur due to water spots or residue from cleaning products. Clean the surface with a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap solution. Immediately dry with a clean, soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive or harsh chemical cleaners, which can strip the finish.

Issue: Towel bar does not fit the glass door holes.

Solution: Verify that your glass door has 1/2" diameter holes spaced exactly 26" center to center. This towel bar is specifically designed for these dimensions. If the holes do not match, the product may not be compatible with your door.
