  • Power Button: Turns the speaker on/off.

Setup

Charging the Speaker

Before first use, fully charge the speaker for approximately 4-5 hours. A full charge provides up to 12 hours of Bluetooth playtime.

  1. Connect the supplied AC adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the speaker.
  2. Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  3. The charging indicator light will illuminate. It will change or turn off once charging is complete.

Powering On/Off

Press and hold the Power Button on the top control panel for 2-3 seconds to turn the speaker on or off.

Operating Instructions

Bluetooth Pairing

The Shockwave 200 automatically enters Bluetooth pairing mode when powered on for the first time or if no device is connected.

  1. Ensure the speaker is powered on and in Bluetooth mode (indicated by 'bt' on the display).
  2. On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Shockwave 200" from the list.
  4. Once paired, the speaker will confirm with an audible tone.

Party Sync Mode (True Wireless Pairing)

Connect up to 50 Altec Lansing Party Sync enabled speakers for a synchronized audio experience.

  1. Ensure both (or all) speakers are powered on and in Bluetooth mode.
  2. Connect your device to one speaker (the "master" speaker) via Bluetooth.
  3. On the master speaker, double-press the Bluetooth / Chain Link icon button (often labeled BT/CSD or similar). The display will show "PtOn" (Party On).
  4. On the additional speakers, double-press the same Bluetooth / Chain Link icon button. They will connect to the master speaker.
  5. To disconnect Party Sync, double-press the button again. The display will show "PtOf" (Party Off).

LED Light Modes

The speaker features over 9 LED light modes that beat, strobe, and pulse to the music.

  • Press the Light Mode Button (often indicated by a sun icon) on the top panel to cycle through the available light modes.
  • Press and hold the button to turn the lights off. Press again to turn them back on to the last selected mode.

AM/FM Radio

To use the built-in AM/FM radio:

  1. Press the FM Button to switch to FM radio mode.
  2. Press and hold the Play/Pause button to auto-scan and save available stations.
  3. Use the Skip Forward/Backward buttons to navigate through saved stations.

Auxiliary Input (LINE IN)

Connect non-Bluetooth devices using a 3.5mm audio cable (not included).

  1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the LINE IN port on the speaker's rear panel.
  2. Connect the other end to the audio output of your device.
  3. Press the AUX Button on the top panel to switch to auxiliary mode.

Microphone Input

For karaoke or public address:

  1. Plug a 6.35mm microphone into the MIC input on the rear panel.
  2. Adjust the microphone volume using the MIC LEVEL knob.

Charging External Devices (USB Output)

Use the speaker's battery to charge your mobile devices.

  • Connect your device's USB charging cable to the OUTPUT 5V=1A port on the rear panel.
  • Charging will begin automatically.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the speaker with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Avoid exposing the speaker to excessive dust or moisture.

Battery Care

To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the speaker frequently. Recharge the battery regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.
