Setup
Pairing the Controller
- Ensure your Nintendo Switch console is powered on and updated to the latest system software.
- From the HOME Menu, select "Controllers" > "Change Grip/Order".
- On the PowerA Enhanced Wireless Controller, press and hold the SYNC Button (located on the top edge of the controller, near the USB-C port) for at least three seconds. The player indicator LEDs will begin to flash.
- Once paired, the player indicator LED(s) corresponding to the controller number will remain lit.
- If pairing fails, ensure the controller is charged and try again.
Initial Charge
Before first use, fully charge the controller using the included USB-C cable. Connect the USB-C end to the controller and the USB-A end to a powered USB port (e.g., Nintendo Switch dock, USB wall adapter). The charging indicator LED will show charging status.
Operating Instructions
Basic Controls
The controller features a standard Nintendo Switch button layout, including A, B, X, Y buttons, a D-pad, Left and Right Analog Sticks, L/R/ZL/ZR shoulder buttons, HOME, Capture, Plus (+), and Minus (-) buttons. Additionally, it includes two mappable Advanced Gaming Buttons (AGL/AGR) on the back.
Customizing RGB Lighting (Lumectra)
The Lumectra RGB lighting system allows for extensive customization:
- Changing Colors: To change the color of a specific lighting zone, press and hold the dedicated Lumectra button (refer to your controller's specific layout for its location, often on the back or bottom). While holding, press the button associated with the zone you wish to customize (e.g., A, B, X, Y, D-pad, or analog stick) to cycle through available colors.
- Lighting Modes: The controller supports three dynamic lighting modes: Breathing (fading in and out), Solid (constant color), and Cycle (automatically rotating through colors). Consult the detailed instructions provided with your controller for the specific button combinations required to switch between these modes.
- Individual Zone Customization: The controller is equipped with 4 individual lighting zones, allowing you to customize each zone independently for a personalized aesthetic.
Programming Advanced Gaming Buttons
The two Advanced Gaming Buttons (AGL and AGR) on the back of the controller can be programmed to replicate other button inputs on the fly:
- Press and hold the Program Button (typically a small button on the back of the controller). The Program LED will begin to flash.
- Press the Advanced Gaming Button (AGL or AGR) you wish to program. The Program LED will start flashing rapidly.
- Press the standard button you want to map to the Advanced Gaming Button (e.g., A, B, X, Y, L, R, ZL, ZR, D-pad directions, or analog stick clicks). The Program LED will flash three times to indicate successful programming.
- To clear a programmed button, repeat steps 1 and 2, then press the Program Button again.

Maintenance
Charging the Battery
The controller is equipped with an internal rechargeable battery. To charge, connect the included USB-C cable to the controller's USB-C port and the other end to a powered USB source. The charging indicator LED will illuminate while charging and turn off once fully charged. A complete charge typically takes approximately 20-30 minutes, providing up to 20 hours of gameplay. Actual battery life may vary based on usage patterns and RGB lighting settings.
Cleaning
To clean the controller, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaning materials, as these can damage the controller's finish and internal components.
Storage
Store the controller in a cool, dry environment, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and excessive humidity. Proper storage helps prolong the lifespan of the device.
