5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Making Espresso
- Ensure the machine is on and heated (lights steady).

- Fill the filter basket with finely ground espresso coffee. Level the coffee and tamp it firmly.
- Attach the portafilter to the group head by inserting it from the left and rotating it to the right until it is securely locked.
- Place one or two cups under the portafilter spouts.
- Press the single or double espresso button to start brewing. The machine will automatically stop when the programmed volume is reached.
- To stop brewing manually, press the button again.
5.2 Frothing Milk
- Press the steam button. The light will flash until the machine reaches steam temperature, then become steady.
- Fill a pitcher with cold milk (dairy or non-dairy) to about one-third full.
- Position the steam wand just below the surface of the milk.
- Turn the steam knob to release steam. Move the pitcher up and down to create foam.
- Once desired foam and temperature are achieved, turn the steam knob off.
- Clean the steam wand immediately after use with a damp cloth to prevent milk residue from drying.

6.1 Daily Cleaning
