Setting the Time

The ASHATA K12 Mini Wearable Watch automatically reads the time from a configuration file on the memory card. Follow these steps to set or update the device's time:

  1. Ensure a memory card is inserted into the watch.
  2. Connect the watch to a computer using the provided USB cable. The watch should appear as a removable disk drive.
  3. Navigate to the root directory of the memory card.
  4. Locate a file named "time.txt". If this file does not exist, it will be generated automatically the first time you power on the watch with a memory card inserted.
  5. Open the "time.txt" file using a plain text editor (e.g., Notepad on Windows, TextEdit on macOS).
  6. Edit the content of the file to reflect the current date and time. The format must be precise. For example, if the current date is October 26, 2024, and the time is 14:30:00, the content should be: 2024-10-26 14:30:00
  7. Save the "time.txt" file.
  8. Safely eject the watch from your computer.
  9. Power on the watch. It will read the updated time from the "time.txt" file upon booting.

Note: Incorrect formatting of the "time.txt" file may prevent the time from updating correctly. Ensure the format is exactly YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS.

Memory Card Usage

The ASHATA K12 Mini Wearable Watch supports memory cards up to 256GB capacity. A memory card is essential for storing all recorded videos and other data. Ensure you use a high-quality memory card for optimal performance.

  • Capacity: Supports up to 256GB.
  • Insertion/Ejection: Carefully insert and eject the memory card to prevent damage to the card or the device slot.
  • Formatting: It is recommended to format the memory card periodically, especially if you experience recording issues. This can typically be done by connecting the watch to a computer and formatting the card through your operating system's file management tools.
