4. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ACECAR P6 HUD, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the display screen and the unit's exterior. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the surface.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Cable Care: Ensure the OBD2 cable is not pinched or excessively bent, as this can damage the internal wiring.
5. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your ACECAR P6 HUD, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Display/Incorrect Readings (OBD Mode):
The OBD2 mode is primarily available for vehicles produced after 2008. If your car is older or is a hybrid electric vehicle, diesel car, pickup truck, RV, or computer modified car, it may not be compatible with OBD mode. In such cases, switch to GPS mode. If you are unsure about compatibility, consult your vehicle's manual or contact ACECAR support. - Unit Shuts Down After Short Distance:
This can sometimes be resolved by adjusting the boot mode and voltage settings in the setup menu. Refer to the 'Entering Setup Mode' section for navigation. - Settings Revert to Defaults:
Ensure the unit is properly powered off when not in use to prevent the internal battery (if present for memory retention) from depleting. - Engine Warning Light On:
The P6 HUD can display and clear fault codes. Navigate to the 'PID' section in the function display to view and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). - Over Speed Alarm:
The device is equipped with an over speed alarm function to alert you when exceeding a set speed limit. This can be configured in the setup menu. - Other Alarms:
The HUD includes multiple fault alarm functions such as low battery voltage, high water temperature, RPM, engine fault, and excessive tilt angle. Pay attention to these alerts for safer driving.
