Introduction

The WiiM Pro is a versatile and powerful audio streamer designed to integrate seamlessly with your existing audio equipment, transforming it into a smart, connected system. It supports a wide range of streaming technologies and services, offering high-resolution audio playback and multiroom capabilities.

Setup

Follow these steps to set up your WiiM Pro and connect it to your audio system:

  1. Step 1: Connect to Stereo
    Plug in the WiiM Pro to your stereo system using the provided RCA to RCA stereo cable for analog connection, or the Digital Optical Audio Toslink Cable for digital connection. Ensure the correct input is selected on your stereo.
  2. Step 2: Power On
    Connect the USB Type-C cable to the WiiM Pro and the USB Power Adapter, then plug the adapter into a power outlet. The device will power on automatically.
  3. Step 3: Network Connection
    For optimal performance, connect the WiiM Pro to your network using an Ethernet cable. Alternatively, you can connect wirelessly via Wi-Fi during the app setup process.
  4. Step 4: Download WiiM Home App
    Download the WiiM Home App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. This app is essential for controlling your WiiM Pro.
  5. Step 5: Configure Device
    Open the WiiM Home App and follow the on-screen instructions to discover and configure your WiiM Pro. This includes connecting to your Wi-Fi network if not using Ethernet, and linking your preferred music services.

Operating Instructions

WiiM Home App Control

The WiiM Home App is your central control hub for the WiiM Pro. It allows you to browse music, manage devices, adjust settings, and control playback.

Streaming Services

The WiiM Pro supports direct streaming from popular services like Spotify, TIDAL, and Amazon Music via their respective Connect features. This provides higher audio quality and better range compared to traditional Bluetooth connections.

AirPlay 2 and Google Cast Audio

Transform your stereo into an AirPlay 2 or Google Cast enabled speaker. Stream music from iOS and Mac devices, or TV audio from Apple TV. Google Cast allows streaming from hundreds of compatible apps to one or multiple audio devices simultaneously.

Voice Control

The WiiM Pro is compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. Use voice commands through your phone, HomePod, Echo, or Google Home device to control music selection, volume, and playback.

Multiroom Streaming

Enjoy synchronized music playback across multiple rooms using AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Amazon Alexa, or WiiM's proprietary multiroom function. Group devices like Echo, HomePod, or multiple WiiM devices for a seamless audio experience throughout your home.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your WiiM Pro, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Avoid using liquid cleaners or aerosols, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
  • Placement: Place the WiiM Pro on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive moisture. Ensure adequate ventilation around the device.
  • Firmware Updates: Regularly check for and install firmware updates via the WiiM Home App. Updates often include performance improvements, new features, and bug fixes.
  • Cable Management: Ensure all cables are securely connected and not under strain. Avoid bending cables sharply.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your WiiM Pro, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

No power / Device not turning onEnsure the USB-C power cable is securely connected to both the device and the power adapter, and the adapter is plugged into a working electrical outlet. Try a different outlet.
No audio outputCheck all audio cable connections (RCA, Optical, Coax) between the WiiM Pro and your audio system. Verify the correct input source is selected on your amplifier/receiver. Ensure volume is not muted on the WiiM Pro or your audio system.
Cannot connect to Wi-FiEnsure your Wi-Fi network is active and within range. Double-check the Wi-Fi password. Try restarting your router and the WiiM Pro. If issues persist, try connecting via Ethernet.
Music playback is interrupted or choppyCheck your network connection stability. Ensure the WiiM Pro is within good Wi-Fi signal range or use an Ethernet connection. Close other bandwidth-intensive applications on your network.
WiiM Home App not detecting deviceEnsure your smartphone/tablet is on the same Wi-Fi network as the WiiM Pro. Restart the app and the WiiM Pro. If necessary, perform a factory reset on the WiiM Pro (refer to the full user manual for instructions).
