The AIYIMA Tube T7 is a 6N3 tube preamplifier featuring Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and independent bass and treble tone controls. It is designed to enhance audio signals before they reach the power amplifier. The AIYIMA A200 is a high-performance Class D power amplifier, utilizing the TPA3255 chip, capable of delivering significant power output for passive speakers. Setup

Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any signs of damage during transit. Retain the original packaging for future storage or shipping.

Connections

  1. Install Bluetooth Antenna: Screw the provided Bluetooth antenna onto the designated port on the rear of the AIYIMA Tube T7.
  2. Install Vacuum Tubes (if not pre-installed): Gently insert the 6N3 vacuum tubes into their sockets on the AIYIMA Tube T7. Ensure they are seated firmly and correctly oriented.
  3. Connect T7 to A200: Use the RCA audio cable to connect the output of the AIYIMA Tube T7 (usually labeled "OUT" or "PRE OUT") to the input of the AIYIMA A200 (usually labeled "IN" or "AUDIO IN").
  4. Connect Speakers to A200: Connect your passive speakers to the speaker terminals on the rear of the AIYIMA A200. Ensure correct polarity (+ to + and - to -) for each speaker.
  5. Connect Audio Source to T7:
    • RCA Input: Connect your audio source (e.g., CD player, DAC) to the RCA input ports on the AIYIMA Tube T7.
    • Bluetooth Input: For Bluetooth connection, ensure no RCA cable is connected to the RCA input, or select Bluetooth mode on the T7.
  6. Connect Power:
    • Connect the power adapter to the AIYIMA Tube T7 and then to a wall outlet.
    • Connect the power cable for the AIYIMA A200 to the amplifier and then to a wall outlet.

Important: Ensure all connections are secure before powering on the devices.

Operating Instructions

Powering On/Off

  • AIYIMA Tube T7: Press the power button on the front panel. The tubes will glow once powered on.
  • AIYIMA A200: Press the power button on the front panel.

Note: It is recommended to power on the T7 first, then the A200. When powering off, power off the A200 first, then the T7.

Input Selection (T7)

The AIYIMA Tube T7 has an input selector switch on the front panel:

  • RCA: Select this mode for audio sources connected via RCA cables.
  • BT (Bluetooth): Select this mode for wireless audio streaming.

Bluetooth Pairing (T7)

  1. Switch the input selector on the T7 to "BT".
  2. On your Bluetooth device (e.g., smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "AIYIMA T7" from the list of devices to pair.
  4. Once paired, audio from your device will stream through the T7.

Volume Control

  • AIYIMA Tube T7: Use the "VOLUME+" knob to adjust the preamplifier's output level.
  • AIYIMA A200: Use the large "SELECT" knob to adjust the main amplifier's volume.

Recommendation: Set the T7 volume to a moderate level and primarily use the A200's volume knob for overall system volume control.

Tone Controls (T7)

  • BASS: Rotate this knob to adjust the low-frequency response.
  • TREBLE: Rotate this knob to adjust the high-frequency response.

Adjust these controls to suit your listening preference and speaker characteristics.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior surfaces of both units. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Tube Care: Vacuum tubes are delicate. Avoid touching them directly with bare hands as oils can shorten their lifespan. If replacement is necessary, ensure the unit is powered off and cooled down before handling tubes.
  • Ventilation: Ensure adequate ventilation around both the T7 and A200 to prevent overheating. Do not block ventilation holes.
  • Storage: If storing the units for an extended period, disconnect them from power and store them in a cool, dry place, ideally in their original packaging.

Troubleshooting

  • Try restarting both the T7 and your Bluetooth device.
Distorted sound
  • Volume too high (clipping)

  • Reduce volume on both T7 and A200.
  • Try replacing audio cables.
  • Inspect tubes for visible damage or try replacing them if distortion persists.
