  • Wireless indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity display.
  • 12-hour weather forecast with 6 distinct weather icons.
  • Temperature and humidity trend tracking.
  • Calendar and day of week display.
  • Easy-to-set alarm with snooze function.
  • Dual power options: AC adapter for always-on display or battery for on-demand backlight.

2. Setup

2.1 Powering the Main Unit

The main weather station unit can be powered by either the included AC adapter or 3 x AA batteries (not included).

  • AC Operation (Recommended for continuous display): Plug the AC adapter into a standard 110V/120V household wall outlet and connect it to the power cord port on the back of the main unit. The display backlight will remain on and can be adjusted using the BACKLIGHT button.
  • Battery Operation (On-demand backlight): Open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit and insert 3 x AA batteries, observing polarity. While operating on battery power, the backlight will illuminate for 5 seconds when the BACKLIGHT button is pressed.

2.2 Installing Batteries in the Outdoor Sensor

The wireless outdoor sensor requires 2 x AAA batteries (not included).

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the outdoor sensor.
  2. Insert 2 x AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

2.3 Pairing the Wireless Sensor

The outdoor sensor will automatically attempt to pair with the main unit once batteries are installed. Place the sensor within 100 feet of the main unit for optimal signal reception. If the outdoor temperature/humidity does not appear, refer to the Troubleshooting section.

2.4 Atomic Clock Synchronization

The built-in atomic clock automatically synchronizes with the WWVB radio broadcast from the US Government's National Institute (NIST) in Fort Collins, Colorado. This ensures the clock is accurate to within one second.

  • The clock will automatically search for the WWVB signal upon initial power-up.
  • Synchronization typically occurs at night when interference is minimal.
  • Allow up to 48 hours for the initial synchronization.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Battery Replacement

Replace batteries in the outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the main unit's display or if readings become inconsistent. For the main unit, replace AA batteries if using battery power and the display no longer illuminates.

4.2 Cleaning

Wipe the weather station and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the display or casing. Ensure the outdoor sensor is kept dry and away from direct sunlight.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Atomic Signal Assistance

If your clock does not receive the WWVB signal or shows incorrect time:

  • Orientation: If on a desk, try rotating it 90 degrees. If wall-mounted, try mounting it on a wall perpendicular to the current one (e.g., if on a north-south wall, try east-west).
  • Location: Place the clock along a wall or near a window that faces Fort Collins, Colorado.
  • Interference: Locate the clock at least 6 feet away from any computer monitors or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
  • Reset: If nothing else works, take the clock outdoors at night and power it down (remove batteries or unplug). Then power it up again to force it to look for the WWVB signal. If it works outdoors but not indoors, you may have a local interference problem.
  • Shielding: Metal buildings (mobile homes, steel siding) can block the signal.
  • Batteries: If using batteries, check them and replace if necessary. Duracell® is recommended.

5.2 Outdoor Temperature Assistance

If your outdoor temperature is not showing on your clock, the clock and transmitter may have lost their connection.

  1. First, take the batteries out of both the main unit and the transmitter for 15 minutes.
  2. Put the batteries back into the transmitter, then into the main unit.
  3. Let them sit side by side inside your home. When both the indoor and outdoor temperatures show on your clock with the same reading, or within two degrees of each other, you can then put your transmitter back outside.
  4. Keep the transmitter out of direct sun in a dry place.
  5. Also, keep it away from metal, which can affect the readings.
