4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The monitor is powered by four AA batteries. To install:
- Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the monitor.
- Insert four AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment.

- Ensure the cuff is at the same level as your heart.
- Wrap the cuff firmly around your bare upper arm, approximately 1 inch above the elbow. The air tube should run down the center of your arm in line with your middle finger.
- Secure the cuff with the hook-and-loop fastener, ensuring it is snug but not too tight. You should be able to insert two fingers comfortably under the cuff.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Taking a Measurement
For accurate readings, follow these steps:
- Sit comfortably with your back supported and feet flat on the floor. Avoid crossing your legs.
- Rest your arm on a flat surface so the cuff is at heart level.
- Press the START/STOP button. The monitor will begin automatic inflation.
- Remain still and do not speak during the measurement process.
- Once the measurement is complete, the monitor will automatically deflate and announce your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate.
5.2 Understanding Your Results
The monitor provides clear indications of your blood pressure status:
- Systolic Pressure (SYS): The top number, indicating the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats.
- Diastolic Pressure (DIA): The bottom number, indicating the pressure in your arteries between beats.
