1. Introduction

2. Safety Instructions

4. Product Overview

5. Setup

1. Placement: Place the dispenser unit on a stable, level surface.
2. Power Connection: Connect the power cord to the dispenser and then to a suitable 110V or 220V AC power outlet. Ensure the voltage selector (if present) is set correctly.
3. Air Compressor Connection: Connect the air hose from your air compressor (minimum 1.5HP recommended) to the "AIR INPUT" port on the dispenser. Ensure the air compressor is capable of providing 70-100 psi.
4. Foot Pedal Connection: Plug the foot pedal into the designated port on the front panel.
5. Material Loading:
   • Fill a dispensing syringe barrel with the desired material (solder paste, glue, etc.).
   • Attach a suitable dispensing needle or tip to the syringe barrel.
   • Connect the syringe barrel to the air output hose from the dispenser and place it in the syringe barrel stand.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the red "POWER" button on the front panel to turn the unit on or off. The LCD display will illuminate when powered on.

6.2 Air Pressure Adjustment

Use the air pressure regulator knob to set the desired output air pressure, which controls the dispensing force. Monitor the pressure gauge to ensure it is within the recommended range of 1-100 psi. Adjust the input air pressure from your compressor as needed.

6.3 Dispensing Modes

The YDL-983A offers two primary dispensing modes: Manual and Timer.

• Manual Mode: In this mode, material is dispensed continuously as long as the foot pedal is pressed. Release the foot pedal to stop dispensing. This mode is suitable for applications requiring variable dispensing volumes.
• Timer Mode: This mode allows for precise, repeatable dispensing volumes by setting a specific dispensing time.
  • Setting Dispensing Time: Use the "SET TIME" controls to adjust the dispensing duration from 0.01 to 99.99 seconds.
  • Setting Cycle Interval: The unit also features a cycle interval setting from 0.1 to 9.9 seconds, allowing for automated, timed pauses between dispensing shots if configured.
  • Operation: Press the foot pedal once to initiate a timed dispense. The unit will dispense for the set duration and then stop automatically.

6.4 Suck-Back Feature

The dispenser incorporates a suck-back feature designed to prevent dripping after each dispense cycle. This feature automatically retracts a small amount of material, ensuring clean and precise application. No user adjustment is typically required for this function.

• Cleaning: Regularly clean the exterior of the dispenser with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
• Syringe and Needle Cleaning: After each use, or when changing materials, thoroughly clean the dispensing syringes, needles, and adapters according to the material manufacturer's recommendations. This prevents clogging and ensures consistent performance.
• Air Filter: Periodically check and clean or replace the air filter (if accessible) to ensure clean air supply to the unit.
• Storage: Store the dispenser in a clean, dry environment when not in use.
