Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the ice maker from its packaging. Remove all packing materials, tape, and any protective film.
  2. Placement: Place the ice maker on a flat, stable, and level surface away from direct sunlight and other heat sources (e.g., stove, furnace, radiator). Ensure there is at least 5 inches (12.7 cm) of clear space around the top, back, and sides for proper ventilation.
  3. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, clean the interior of the ice maker. Refer to the "Maintenance and Cleaning" section for detailed instructions on the self-cleaning function.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Press the "ON/OFF" button to start the ice making cycle. The indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Ice Production: The ice maker will begin producing nugget ice within approximately 5 minutes. The first few cycles may produce smaller or irregular ice cubes. This is normal.
  3. Ice Full Indicator: When the ice basket is full, the "ICE FULL" indicator light will turn on, and the ice making process will automatically pause. Remove ice from the basket to resume production.
  4. Add Water Indicator: If the water level in the reservoir is too low, the "ADD WATER" indicator light will turn on, and the unit will stop making ice. Add water to the reservoir up to the "MAX" line, and the unit will automatically restart ice production after a few minutes.
  5. Ice Retention: The ice maker is not a freezer. While it has insulated construction to keep ice colder for longer (up to 70% retention for 12 hours at 80°F ambient temperature), it is recommended to use the ice promptly or transfer it to a freezer for long-term storage.
  6. Power Off: Press the "ON/OFF" button to turn off the unit.

    • Ensure the unit is empty of ice and water.
    • Fill the water reservoir with clean water up to the MAX line.

  2. Descaling:

It is recommended to descale your ice maker twice a month, especially in areas with hard water. Use a citric acid solution for descaling. Follow the instructions provided with your descaling agent, or mix a solution of water and citric acid (e.g., 1 tablespoon citric acid per liter of water) and run the self-cleaning cycle with this solution.

  3. Regular Cleaning:
    • Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
    • Clean the ice basket and ice scoop with mild detergent and rinse thoroughly.
    • Periodically drain any remaining water from the reservoir using the drainage valve.
  4. Storage: If the ice maker will not be used for an extended period, drain all water, clean the unit thoroughly, and allow it to air dry completely before storing in a cool, dry place.
